Gloria Ladson-Billings was a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She worked for a decade as a teacher and administrator in the Philadelphia Public Schools. She is the author of The Dreamkeepers (Jossey-Bass, 1997).

It is a very informative book. It also gives people tips on how to be a better teacher. It shows you different teaching methods that will help you in a classroom setting.

Educators of all kinds would appreciate this wonderfully researched work. It is eye-opening and honest. Teachers must learn different ways to reach their students. This is one way to do it! Read this Book!
