- Kort biografi
- Alexander Liberman emigrated to the USA in 1941. In Paris he had worked with photographers such as Brassaï, André Kertész, and Robert Capa. In New York, he began working for Condé Nast Publications and rose to the position of editorial director, which he held from 1962 to 1994. In the 1950s, he took up painting and metal sculpture. He married as his second wife Tatiana du Plessix, another Russian émigré, with whom he escaped from Occupied France. She designed hats for Henri Bendel and New York high society. The couple entertained grandly at their townhouse in Manhattan.
