Paul Ratz De Tagyos

A Coney Tale is about a village run by rabbits. Apparantly rabbits were known as "coneys" in the seventeenth century and they lived in a town called, "Conage." Conage was a farming village and in the village they had this huge tree that was the pride of Conage. The Coneys discovered that the tree was actually a gigantic carrot. The entire village fed on the huge carrot for days. This story plays heavily on imagination. After reading it to my class, I would have them come up with their own make believe village and write a story about it just to see what the kids come up with. It gets them thinking.… (mer)
