We share a nice selection of books, may I compliment you on your taste!

also.. Montreal to Sheffield?? Does-not-compute!
Sorry about that. My internet connection just failed and I had to phone the helpline. Seems to okay again. Phew!

Nice to bump into another Abeite. I already met Hob and Mummi on here. No doubt there are more to find. Lol!
Hi 2MB, I seem to have stumbled across another Abeite. :-)
Yes, I read a lot of the 'Twin' books when I was a child, from the library, and loved them, so I've buy any that I find at a reasonable price, so I can reread them one day. Do you need a copy of The Swiss Twins, as I have a spare hb (no dj)copy?
Yes, I just realised. It's taking me ages to add at this rate, but it's good fun. :)
Wow.. a thousand left!
I've only added a few myself, as most of mine are still boxed up, so I can't quite remember what I have and haven't got - I'm adding things from memory as I go along.
And now I've forgotten - was it you who asked about the Nargun and the Stars? Or was it Muumi? Anyway, it's great book, an Aussie childrens' classic.
Hi, I seem to have stumbled across more Abe-people! Have already found Kehs. :) And wow, 4,835 books, that's impressive!
Oh, I *love* Betsy Whyte's books. I've been looking for them for a month and I can't find them anywhere around here, and I know where they ought to be, so I think my daughter has got them and intends to keep them, which means I will have to read really quick when I visit her if I intend to re-read them. I think I will add them to my library anyway. I certainly bought them!
I'm sorry to hear that! It makes me glad I decided not to specialize in Roman Britain, as I'd originally intended (I'm crap at Latin, anyway!). It looks from your library that you were doing the classical stuff as well?
I've just had my first week of graduate school in (American) historical archaeology, and I imagine it will be a while before my library is as up to snuff as yours!
If you don't mind me asking, are you a professional archaeologist, or just a fabulously-libraried amateur?
What a wonderful collection of archaeology books! I'm downright jealous. Too many books, indeed.
Actually, did you copy these from the catalogue? Because I notice that a whole lot of the ones we share are ones you gave to me and surely you didn't have two copies of all of them!
yep, it is an improvement, it must have taken you a while to enter all those!
Glad you found me, you really need to add more books though as it makes it look like I have more than you!!
Welcome to LibraryThing! Hi, it's me, Catherine. Muumi on LT. Thanks for letting me know you're here. Bicyclette is here too, as you probably know, and a few others. Have fun!
