Om mitt bibliotek
My library includes books about New York City (the center of the known intelligent universe IMHO), history of technology, railroads, maritime history, the Napoleanic Wars, craft in it's many mediums, and everyone's favorite subject - food. I started adding art monographs to my library a few years ago since I'll never be hanging any Rothko's or Sorolla's on my walls. I love browsing for art books at Ursus Books in NYC. A great bookstore! If you are up in Maine checkout Penobscot Books another great place for art books. I try to support some independent booksellers in Santa Fe but still buy on-line from the likes of Amazon and B&N. Anyway my art focus is on figurative painters, Impressionism, the early Modernists and Abstract Expressionism.

So, slowly but steadily my books are taking over more and more space. Adding another bookshelf is like putting another lane on a crowded highway. Traffic just expands to take over the available space. It's the same with books. To keep things from getting out of hand I do recycle much of my fiction reading to local book sellers or give them to friends and family. A few keepers but I've always been more attached to my non-fiction.

Om mig
I read, there for I am. A life without books is just unthinkable.
