Thanks for the invite, looks interesting
Thank you for your invitation to the new group.

Good to see somebody on here from western Iowa. I grew up in the Earling community. Looking at your books in common with me I think you have a lot of good stuff.
Thanks for the invite on the new group.
Thanks for the invitation for the group Aerial Warfare.
I am French speaking and I hope you will forgive my grammatical errors.

Kind regards

Geoco from Belgium
Thanks for invite to join group. I am retired now but used to manage a library for the Royal Australian Navy and have had a great interest in submarines - my submarine books are non fiction.
Thanks or the invite to the Sub group.
No, I got it from the Alabama Book Festival web site. Someone on the staff of the Alabama Center for the Book took the photo.
thanks..i appreciate that
Hi Bob,
OK. I'm not a Lawrence expert, more interested in the WW1 'Sideshow' aspects of the story, but I understand that Revolt in the Desert was a general release version of Seven Pillars. Though how they differ I cannot say. I have Revolt but not Seven Pillars, and don't see the need for both. Though I'd love to get a copy of the illustrated Seven Pillars - well, when I win the lottery, maybe!
Quill's Spitfire is a good basic story of test flying in WW2. I think the Henshaw's Sigh for a Merlin is better, he was a much better writer than Quill. Sadly both passed on over the last few years.
Good hunting, Ian
Hi Bob,
Thanks for the recommendation of Zero! I do have it just not completed entering my library yet - takes time.
You might want to scout out thrift stores, etc for 'Eagles of Mitsubishi' by Jori Horikoshi the Zero's designer. Very interesting read.

Hi Bob! Thanks for connecting with me. I can't help but make a comment about your avatar. Would James Bond (from your favorite author Ian Fleming) allow Bin Laden to be roaming around the earth after seven years?
Thanks for the help with the image for the Bibliophiles of Oklahoma! I tried all kinds of combinations of info and credit, etc. Very frustrating! Even the simple "Public Domain", which it is...
Bob,

I loved Stolen Season; it and Minor Heroes are my favorite baseball travel books.
Many thanks, I appreciate the help.
Yes, Wikipedia does use their model for image use; however, like LibraryThing, their images are user-uploaded. And while they try to verify that all images follow the model, some pictures on Wikipedia don't follow their guidelines. For example, the picture you mention doesn't pass item #2 of the Wikipedia minimal requirements. While the uploader says that the picture was published pre-1918, he doesn't say where he got the picture (e.g., was the source website copyrighted?) and he gives no link for his statement that the picture has an expired copyright to be verified.

I hope that answers you question. :) If you have any more, don't hesitate to ask me--I'll do my best to answer.

Christina
Thanks! I surely will.
