Om migI live with my seven cats, two dogs, desert tortoise, and lizard. Plus my mom, dad, & older brother (sadly). Some people think I'm quiet, but that is far from the truth! I play the flute and I LOVE ice cream. I also love animals, Disneyland, the internet, pirates, and Tinkerbell! And of course, books. I was so happy when my dad showed me this site. I can finally see how many books I have and I can rate them.

Om mitt bibliotekI love fiction and I don't read that much non-fiction. I enjoy fantasy and animal books. By far my favorite books are all the Harry Potter books (esp. DH). And I love Twilight! I actually own all the books in my library (there are more books in my house but they're not mine). This is now easier to organize with collections. My goal is to read all my books so I can rate them.

Thank you, I had a very nice day.
That's weird that they require natural science rather than chemistry, it just seems that chemistry is more main stream and applicable these days. I have that many science credits because I took Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre- Calculus, and now AP Calculus. I need to take it to become a chemical engineer... takes a lot of math and chemistry. I also like math if it's taught well.

Haha, I like to wait till the week it's due so I can pump out some serious papers. I edit my work so much, it's weird to edit other people's papers because I don't want to make it me and I don't think they can realize how bad their papers actually can be.

Yea, I work on it, I actually added a few today, it's nice when books randomly pop up that I've read, saves me some work. The collections make everything so much easier, I mean tags are nice, but this is way more organized!
Lol, it was great to be there but I wish they had given something away! Super special it would have been! Yea, I liked it as a movie but it lacked really MAJOR scenes that I thought were vital...

Naw, we got lucky with the requirements and i only have 4 years... 2 yrs science, 3 years history, 2 years arts or languages, 2 years math, .5 year gym, .5 year health... im going to have 5-6 years math, 5 years science, 3 years english, and limit everything else but arts, which is 3 years... lol. I love English, but it's not fun anymore. I know grammar but I hate literature and there are no papers, especially no research papers. I love papers! We don;t get summer work unless its an AP class, and we only have 12th grade AP English... and you really should get better study habits!

Wow, sounds rough lol, but at least you enjoy it! The flute is so beautiful... I used to play guitar, I'm trying to work on playing again!

Yea, I used to love them too! I'm trying to remember all of the books I've ever read and I feel like I'm missing a ton cuz I know I've read over 600 books in my life!
Cool! I just love the Baby Sitters Club Series; I think the best one Ive ever read is Super Special 15: Baby Sitters' European Vacation.

Oh and if you haven't read them yet I think your going to like Magic in Manhattan. I mean once you start reading the story just grabs you; you should check them out.

Yea, we're having a blast, we just saw the midnight showing of Harry Potter last night with a bunch of friends, it was great!

Yea, I'm glad I don't have to read a book over the summer... I don't even have an English class for my senior year cuz I don't have room for it and I reaaalllly hope it doesn't come back to bite me in the ass later... :( lol And yea, Fahrenheit 451 is really boring, I think I read 5 pages in the book and then quit it :D

Sounds like a lot of fun! Do you enjoy band camp? We've had some pretty nasty band camps during the summer cuz it's been waaayyy too hot for those kids to be out there and I would ride by on my bike, happy that I wasn't one of them in the 90 degree weather! lol Though this summer should be better! What instrument do you play?
Sounds good!

Yea, I've finally resurrected my friendships so now I'm really busy hanging out with all of them and my boyfriend. I'm also having my Brazilian friend come visit for the entire month of July! :D (She moved here for three years then moved back to Brazil). So, it's going to be amazing cuz we're gonna go shopping in toledo, cedar pointing, and going to see the Harry Potter premiere! On a more quiet basis, I've also got a lot of reading to do and I'm almost done with my volunteer hours from working with the 4-6th grade art camp!

Have you done much reading? Any other fascinating plans?!
hi Guess!
I just noticed that you've also read some Baby Sitter's Club books that I've read.
I have a lot of Baby Sitter's Club; well not a lot but my friends gave them to me as gifts.
Lol. I'm all right. I'm only on for tonight because my computer doesn't work and I am at someone elses hose. So that sucks.
Not a whole lot. I haven't been on LibraryThing in a long time!
I've just realized that you are second on my weighted list of "members with my books." We share 86 books! You have excellent taste, I must say! ;) See you on HE!
Oh, i'm getting a lab/german shepherd mix. ya, i know, it's gonna be a handful, but I think I'm up to the challenge :D
Well, I've been bowling a lot because I made the bowling team for my school this year and I have a state tournament coming up next weekend. I've also had a lot of homework, but mostly just being with my boyfriend every other day, lol. I've had a lot of books to add recently so I've decided to get back on and work on that while also trying to try to talk to you guys again. You?
Hey Chelsea, I just recently started getting back on recently and I thought I'd catch up with the old HP clan back when we'd be on till 2 in the morning. Lol, I'm sure you guys still do, but I'm not there anymore! How's it been? Spring break good?
Same mostly. I cant wait till Friday either. Im going to Disneyland on Friday after school and my friends are giving me christmas/hannuka presents!!!!
Hey. We havent talked in a while. Whats up?
Hey Chelsea! Don't worry about you talking too much... trust me, you should hear me when I'm hyper!!! Hehehe!!!!! Although right now I unfortunately am not... I have a really bad cold and have flute lessons tomorrow, which I don't really wanna go to because I know I'll get outta there with a huge headache, but oh well, I'll be fine!

Congrats and you getting first and all!!!!!! That must've been really exciting! And ya, as I was reading what you said, I was like "Wow, that one was sooo close!"

Today we went to the animal shelter near my house and we adopted two kittens. Their names are Elvira and Lily (those were the names they had and I didn't wanna change them ;) ) and they're sisters. We were thinking we were going to be able to bring them home today, but they are going to get spayed on Thursday, so they'll probably be home by Friday afternoon. I'm really excited although I still miss Wilma (my other cat.) The kittens are two months old, and we were surprised to hear that they were gonna get spayed so early, but apparently it doesn't make that much of a difference.

Ya, so, keep the news comin'!

Love ya!

-Alina

Oh, by the way, you probably notice that I put way too many exclamation marks on things and you probably think that I'm an over-excited, hyper person. Hehehe! I can be at many times!!!!! Sorry about all the exclamation marks, I just can't help it! lol!
Thanks Chelsea. She was going to turn 2 in January... such a short life but at least the policeman said she didn't suffer before she died.
I love Peek-A-Boo as a name!!! Hehehe!!! Ontario is actually really nice, except right now it's getting really cold. The leaves are already starting to lose their colour and we can sense the winter coming, although it's still at least a month and a half away. South Carolina is probably very different from here!!!

I can only imagine your brother's lizard trying to bite off teddy's head! LOL!!! I hope it doesn't die of starvation! Cuz that would be really sad...
actually it is, lol!

*hugs* i do too. hopefully he found a new home with people to love him.
Hey Chelsea,
we do have lots of things in common!!! I would love to have as many animals as you do, except my parents would only let me have another cat (I currently have one) or a dog. My mom would be afraid of a lizard, and my dad would think a tortoise is really boring ;), oh, and my cat would probably chase and kill the lizard, so I think I'm better off as I am.
By the way, I actually don't live in the US, I live in Canada, in the province of Ontario.

Glad to meet you

-Alina
Hi Chelsea - thanks for the invite, I have joined the group and will have a look at it today. You are so lucky that you have all of those animals, I'd love to have my seven cats :-).
Got 'em.
Thanks for trying, Chelsea.

I am glad you like my picture. Green is a great color! Good luck painting.

Is that your cat in your picture?
Would you like to submit your votes for the group contest to my profile and I could simply add them to the results on the polls by hand when I tally everything up tonight?

Btw, I hope you are enjoying The Golden Compass. I love that book! :)
i dont think the creator can take the survey. send me the link and i'll see what it does ;)
Thank you so much. It's nice to meet you.
Thank you, we did and I hope you had a good time too.
By the way, happy birthday.
I'm super glad the fires aren't close to you! I'd wish for your school to close for you, but you know what that would mean, right? The fires would be too close, maybe! Good luck, and hope things look better soon! :)
Hi Chelsea! I've been hearing a lot about those fires lately. Will you let us know through the week that you are alright? Thanks! :)
hello... yeah, the movie was alot better than the book... the book was too short and part of the plot was missing... thanks
Yea, lol, Im trying my best! I have read them and theyre awesome! I personally think the movie did the books no justice, even if it had Jim Carrey in it!! Yes, it is the first 3 books, which is also why its crap. I got the 13th book signed, and the accompanying CD. I would reommend it, its great
Hey, I missed you guys!! Ive been thinking about getting on for ever, and I havent been able to! lol I will now that school is in, I'll check it out during seminar. How have you guys been?? Havent forgotten about me have you????
Hi! Thanks for your comment. Yes, that's my dog on the profile; she's 14 years old, so a very old lady at this point! I did enjoy The Secret Garden -- it's been a favorite since childhood. I notice you and I share a lot of books that I like. Have you read the "Bloody Jack" series by L.A. Meyer? If you like pirate books, those are ones I'd definitely recommend!
Thank you so much for your lovely message - very sweet of you, and glad you liked my review. Everyone's been so kind. What a lovely site this is. Love it!

Hey Chels! Thanks for the invite. I LOVE dogs!!

Yeah I've been snooping around the Hog x when my boss isn't looking lol!

Thanks so much! I missed you guys terribly, also, but ahem... you know... Edward Cullen. Need I say more? hahahahahahaha
hey chels thanks for adding me! likewise! I'll add you from home, my work comp is a total psycho!
Hi, Chelsea. How are the kittens doing? The mom still gone?

Yep, the cats are everywhere. The ones inside are always getting stuck behind closed doors, and only one knows how to open them. And the outdoor ones? The grey and white one once returned home completely grey! It took me forever to clean the poor girl. They get into everything. :) You ever wonder if they think they're in control of you? ;)
Hey, another Californian! Thanks for adding me to your interesting libraries. :)

Wow, five cats? I have two indoor cats, one indoor/outdoor cat, and two porch cats. I'm not sure how many to count that as. :) Do yours all stay indoors?
