Om migBooks with characters that provoke thought that are well written are my favourites. If there is also a mystery to solve, it is an added bonus.
I intersperse my international crime fiction reading with books from the Booker winner list, including the long and short list, and grab whatever German author I can lay my hands on.
LT is my helpful memory crutch that almost avoids my not buying duplicates, which used to happen rather frequently BLT (before LT).
Om mitt bibliotekMy catalogue consists of the books I presently own (except for a small contingent I can track now thanks to collections). It reflects many years of reading and encompasses awful literary mistakes, cereal boxes (pre-ISBN), changing tastes, and varying genres, which I might still occasionally enjoy.
I like to browse the catalogue sorted by tags - even now that collections have arrived. It sorts everything by author and books in a series in reading order, regardless of publication date.
If there are errors in my library, they are all mine, and I really appreciate a note so that I can correct/improve.

The first Dexter book was much better than I thought it would be and got me hooked on the show. I haven't read any of the others.
I procured and planted three lilacs promised to bloom every spring even without a hard frost. We shall see. They are such small plants, that it may be a few years before I see any blossoms, but it will be worth it for the scent of the blossoms someday.

Just stumbled upon a 5th Corinna Chapman book today. Forbidden Fruits.
It apparently was released yesterday (Australian date = Wed 23 Sept). I've added it to the series and will do proper CK after I've read it.
Thought you'd like to know.

PS. Please feel welcome to cast your eye over the CK for previous books. I just added Daniel to the character list. Not sure why even 1-book characters were there but he wasn't listed at all. Some books have extensive character lists and others don't. I know you've read the series, so any updates you can think of would be welcome.
I'm going to have a go in a few days too after I finish Forbidden Fruits (plus upload cover). Cheers, ryn
PS. Saw a previous comment where you've read the 3rd Larsson! I'm looking forward to reading that soon too.

I'm just excited about getting the Larsson book.
How are you enjoying Jasper Ffordes? I want to live in a world where schools of art can inspire violence!

Somewhat frustratingly, they and my in-laws have decided to stay at a hotel next to the interstate rather than one downtown, next to a beautiful park and in our downtown which is designed to be walked. They've decided it would be more convenient as well as $12 cheaper per night. I'm afraid that they'll leave with this vision of the US as all freeways and shopping malls. Sigh.
