Om mitt bibliotek
My library is reasonably eclectic, but probably reflects some dominant themes in my interests, including politics, philosophy, architecture, poetry, wine, languages, travel, all things Spanish, mathematics, history and science as well as the obligatory loads of (mostly interesting I hope, but some trash no doubt) fiction.

I won't be formally reviewing every book I read, so let me know if you want an opinion about something that's rated but not reviewed.
Om mig
To me books are necessary furniture, artefacts and talismans that reflect humanity on its broader scale while holding particular meanings for us at a personal level.

I have a slight addiction to books as objects and so I am planning to resist buying more until I can: a) have read the majority of those currently in my library; b) move into a larger place that can more comfortably hold all my books; and c) purge some of them and share the ones I give up with charity.

That said, while I would like the opportunity to take time off for a 'reading holiday', books do not replace humans and real relationships and interactions in the real world. They are a supplement that complements a full and well-lived life.
