Isn't Washington D.C. wonderful?

I never really got into her vampire books but I loved the Mayfair Witches series. I started "Blackwood Farm" years a go but I could never finish it.

I have read HP before. This will be like a 10th time reread. Every time a new movie comes out, I seem to reread the series again. I do not think I will ever tire of those books.

I ended up getting "Daughter of York" instead of "Lady MacBeth". It was just calling to me but "Lady M." is still on my list. I also picked up "The Red Tent" at the used book store and the Margaret George book about Mary Magdalene. So, I am quite set for a bit. I've also decided I want to reread the Anne of Green Gables books again soon too.

The kids do keep me busy, but I still find a lot of time to read. I get to read in my downtime at work so that makes it nice.
Ok, who wrote Candide? I cannot find it anywhere!

Christy
Thank you for adding me as an interesting library. I enjoyed yours as well. I see we share a love of historical fiction. :o) We share quite a few of my favorite books....The Other Boleyn Girl, Girl with a Pearl Earring, The Thirteenth Tale, The Birth of Venus, not to mention the Harry Potters. (too name a few.) We also share quite a few that I have sitting on my shelves patiently waiting for me to pick them up. (The Fools Tale, The Dark Queen,The Mermaid Chair, and The Witch of Cologne to name a few.) If only I had more time to read. :o) I am getting married in less then three weeks so unfortunately I haven't had much time to read in the last two months or so. Soon though....

Take Care!

Hi Haley!
You ask what m,y favorite books are ....Wow hard question for me they are all my friends (literally lol)

Mists of Avalon by Marian Zimmer Bradley and that whole series of hers, Outlander by Diana Gabaldon and that whole series, Harry Potter all of them. Anything I have by Laurell K Hamilton, all the Vampire series by Anne Rice (I actually have first edition autographed)

when I want to escape or am in the need of hiding out or comfort all I need is to touch a book, feel the pages and get transported...They are my friends and are my refuge from the mundane world.

How about you? You also have an interesting Library what are some of your favorites?
I love to coupon and sale hunt!

I went to see "The Other Boleyn Girl" today. It was a pretty good movie but vears greatly from the book/
Wow! That is so neat! It really is such a small world...!

Hey, Nursing is great, by the way. I love the flexibility: if I don't want to stay on the floor, I could always go into management, education, or even branch out farther than I have and do some serious travel nursing. (California, maybe?)

What do you do?

And, by the way, I'm still hacking my way through Anna Karenina...I'm determined to prevail. (But I'd rather be reading some trashy Anne Rice!)
The Other Boleyn girl was excellent. I cannot wait for the movie!

I may make a run to Bootlegger's myself this weekend. I need some new books. I am running low.

I have never been to Friends of The Library. Where are they at?
I just started The Widow of The South by Robert Hicks and I am almost finished with Wideacre. I will be starting on The Favored Child as soon as I am finished.

Yes, there really is a Holly Springs.

No, none of my family had any damage, thank goodness. It all went a few miles north of them.

What else are you reading right now?
Neighbors? How so? Are you, like me, a "Southern Belle"?
Hullooo, and welcome to the Green Dragon
:o)
Hullo HaleyM!
