- Easton mentions the two works included here in his will, dated 20 January 1687/8. Other titles may have been included among the household goods not specifically mentioned. The two books are also mentioned by Joseph's son John Easton in his will (dated 3 December 1712), being then given to his son John Easton.

- Joseph Easton (c. 1602 - 19 August 1688), of Hartford.
Easton emigrated to Massachusetts c. 1634, and was made freeman at Cambridge, MA 4 March 1634/5. He married Hannah Ensign around 1639, and the couple had four children: John, Mary (m. John Skinner), Sarah (m. Robert Shirley), and Joseph. He was an original proprietor of Hartford, CT in 1639. Easton held many local offices: chimney viewer (1649); surveyor of highways (1652, 1656, 1666); constable (1658).
Easton's inventory was taken 1 September 1688; his estate was valued at £20/4/1. - Vistelseort
