Om migI don't know what to put here except that I probably read more than is considered healthy.

Om mitt bibliotekI read for fun so none of my books are what I consider heavy reading. Just a lot of fiction, from Sci-fi to Fantasy to Romance to Suspense.

Congratulations, Mary! :)
Greetings! Just wondering whether you had a nursery theme or colors you planned to use? If you don't yet, I'll just wait longer. ;)
Hi Mary,

Just wanted to let you know I'm here for you if you need methods to deal with relatives that don't understand homeschooling.

And a friend passed this site to me. Just in case you get bored with the US map.

I am sad and unknowledgeable on the Europe map, but after you struggle through it you can pick a different continent/country. :o)

Oh, goodness! If you didn't get a private comment from me, will you let me know? I don't know if LT is having a comment delay right now. It might be the case! :)
You're welcome.

See you in the Express!

xx
Mary, I am embarrased to say I just got your message from last year. I signed up for Library Thing in March of 2008 and haven't been on very ofte. I live just south of Columbus and belong to a book club that meets at Always in Stitches in Grove City. We enjoy getting together once a month. We read a book and then discuss it and enjoy goodies.

Sorry for such a long delay to your nice note. I didn't even know that there were messages until today.
Hi, MEM. I just got home from work and saw your post on the holiday party thread. I think I might be too late to say because you might miss this, but I hope you and your family have a great Christmas! Also, happy birthday to your husband.
Hi, Mem! Just wondering if you had a nursery theme or favorite nursery colors or anything of the sort? Or are you waiting to find out if it's a boy or girl first?
*waves*
Hi Mary! Happy Birthday I hope this year brings you much joy!
Sending happy birthday wishes to you early. :)
Hi MEM!

Glad you enjoyed my blog! I hope reading the comics and about our misadventures helps you. I should warn you that homeschooling is very bad for the book addicted. We end up with this reasonable excuse to accumulate more books: "It's for homeschooling." :o)

Cristina
Hey! Did you get to read The Book Thief? Just wondering what you thought of it, if you'd gotten time for it yet. :)
We've missed you, Mary! I was just about to write you wondering if something was up and if you were okay. Very glad you signed on to LT today! *handshake* :)
Thank you Mary! I will check that out when she gets up from her nap today and see if she finds a new favorite! Have a great day :)

Hi Mem! I just had to tell you about the gingerbread man dancing you posted in the Green Dragon in the decorating for the holidays thread. I showed my almost 3 year old daughter some of the pictures in that thread and she was absolutely fascinated by your gingerbread man. Even now, almost a month later, just about every time she sees me on the "puter" she asks to see it. Thanks for brightening our day!

Hi, MEM. I hope Missie's ear gets better soon! I had a painless ear infection earlier in the year. It sounds crazy that it doesn't always hurt. With the medication, I bet it will clear up faster than mine did. (I didn't go to a doctor, hehe.)
Thanks about my library. It wasn't always so busy-looking. I always feel I have too much on it now. ;) Yeah, I don't usually look at profiles much either. I remember in the days when I was new to LT, how invading I would feel by looking at profile pages and, goodness, going through people's libraries. It's a teensy easier now.
Hi Mary,

Thanks for adding me to your friends! Glad you liked my playlist!

For a six year old, I would avoid the classic fairy tale collections unless your kids are OK with body parts being cut off. :o) Try the Reader's Digest Timeless Tales From Many Lands and Best Loved Folktales of the World by Joanna Cole (of the Magic School Bus series). My kids liked picture books better than collections at that age. Any retelling by Margaret Hodges and Trina Schart Hyman would be good. Mary Pope Osborn has a neat children's series based on the Odyssey. We love Egyptian tales. Deborah Nourse Lattimore has some nice ones (warning some are out of print). If you can find it (I did through B&N out of print) get Blue Faience Hippopotamus by Joan Marshall Grant. It's a beautiful Egyptian tale about a hippo that falls in love with a princess. It always leaves me teary eyed and happy.
Can you tell I'm very opinionated on this topic?

This should be a good starting point for you!
Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
HI Mem, I figured after the creepy friend request you needed a real friend request!
Hi MEM,
Thanks for the compliment about my kids! I think they're cute too!

Peace and Laughter!
Hope the kids are feeling better! :)
That's so sweet. Thank you very much!! :)
Neti pot: it's a little teapot/Aladdin's lamp looking thing that you fill with saline solution which you pour into your nose to clean our your sinuses.

Still sound fun?
Of course we all care!! WE WUV MEM!! We always miss each other when one of us doesn't turn up!! Glad that you are doing ok!! :)
Hi Mary, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope that you and your family are doing ok. We all miss you terribly at the hog x!

HI MEM!
thanks for being my friend!u r right, friends are goood even if you have seen them.(sad)
i call all my friends at LT pen pals.especially when talking to someone who does'nt read any books!
Thanks for joining the group. Hope to see you around!!
Yesterday, one of my sisters said the actor playing George was leaving the show. She kept going on how it was definite! I checked the Grey's website, though, and was relieved to see while he considered it, that he will be in the next season. What a lousy time to leave it would have been!
Yuck! I had today off work, and LT was down all day!

Hehe. I asked so I would know if I needed to not talk to you about it. Glad you didn't miss it! :) I agree about Christina moving in with Meredith. When she said "I'm free," she really reminded me of the main character in "The Story of an Hour," by Kate Chopin. I did see the spin off starring Addison. I don't think it can possibly be as good as Grey's Anatomy, do you? At least, not from what we saw of it so far. I think Grey's Anatomy will be strange without Addison, but I also think they only meant to have her character for a short time.
I can't wait, either. I'm dying for the third season to come out on DVD, though. One of my sisters used to watch the show with me all the time, but this year, decided she'd wait for the DVD because of work. I haven't been able to tell her a single thing about this past season (her request), and am looking forward to her at last being caught up on it.

Did you watch the season finale?
Have you heard anything about 'Grey's Anatomy' lately? Issiah Washington (AKA Dr. Burke) has been cut out of the show! I read it in my newspaper a couple hours ago while eating breakfast.
really! i've read all of her books numerous times, my favorite are her Tortall serise, it is so easy to get drawn into these books.
Thanks so much, Mary! You did a wonderful job! I'm so glad to hear they'll play it again tonight! I thought it would be an older episode that they would be showing today. I can understand about your father calling long distance - my own father lives two states away from me. Thank goodness for e-mail, or he'd only contact me once a year. A year ago, he decided he'd rather have internet access and e-mail those out of the area than call them, as my step-mom's family live in another country.
Okay, so what did I miss on Grey's Anatomy? :)
Visit some other groups too. You will enjoy the Gree Dragon
