Om mig Lectrice, je me passionne aussi pour l'écriture et l'art en général, la peinture en plus particulier. J'ai un faible pour la littérature fantastique ou les récits étranges, et pour la littérature du monde, qui me fait découvrir d'autres horizons. Voyageuse, j'enseigne le français en Chine, après avoir enseigné l'anglais au Kenya puis au Kosovo. J'essaie chaque fois d'apprendre un peu la langue, de comprendre la culture et surtout, de découvrir la littérature.
Om mitt bibliotek Ma bibliothèque est à 9'000 km de moi. Et elle me manque beaucoup. Chaque fois que je le peux, je fais venir des livres triés sur le volet. Mais le fait de m'assoir dans le fauteuil qui fait le coin avec elle et de laisser mes yeux courir sur mes livres-objets, d'en sélectionner un puis un autre et de flâner parmi eux, cela me manque beaucoup. Toujours sur le départ, je ne prends pas la peine d'acheter beaucoup de choses pour meubler mon habitat. Sauf pour les livres!

yes I stayed in the village of Khachonge, living on a farm and teaching in the public primary school, also helping on development projects. Khachonge is in the district of Bungoma.
I tried to find some good writers when I was there and I had some names but couldn't find the books. I'd like to read The translator, about Sudan, but can't find it here. I actually am very limited here (Chongqing, China) but happy to discover very good chinese books
In which area did you stay and did you find authors that I absolutely must read?

I see you were in Kenya. May I ask when and where you taught English? I spent a part of my childhood and adolescence there.
