Hallo Papiervisje,

Van de veronderstelling uitgaande dat jij zowat het meest weet over de werking van LT in het Ned.gebied stel ik de vragen maar via deze weg aan jou!
1/ Kan je de afmetingen voor eens en altijd in cm en kg zetten ? (bij boekbewerken)
2/ Als verkeerdelijk een foto hebt opgeladen kan je die terug er uit halen ?

Dag papiervis,

die toch een kat als afbeelding nalaat,
gewoon een zaak van de melk niet bij de kat te plaatsen...(ik ben niet goed op de hoogte of uitdrukkingen synchroniseren tussen Vlaams en Nederlands...ik wil het niet weten...beelden spreken boekdelen en overbruggen schijnbaar het denkbeeldige (niets mis met denk-beelden, we leven er meer in dan in de werkelijkheid)...

Honi soit...betekent dat wie slecht denkt over de ander, in wezen de enige to blame is...impliceert dat ik uitga van mijzelf en mij wezenlijk niet kan bekommeren om de oordelen van de meerderheid, wel om dat van diegenen die ikzelf waardevol acht om zo'n oordeel uit te spreken...(ach, kon ik maar zo'n kousebandje optrekken...niets mis mee...)...Calvino schreef zo'n boek..."De ridder die niet bestond"...ik zal nooit een ridder zijn in de orde van de kouseband...ik streef geen adellijke titel na...was en ben gewetensbezwaard wat betekende o.a. dat je in België (voorlopig nog een naburig koninkrijkje) dat je dienstplicht omzette in burgerplicht ;-)...

M' enfin, zou Guust Flater (een bekende Belgische Stripfiguur) zeggen, ik wil je niet langer vervelen, je hebt wellicht iets veel beters te lezen of te bekijken...

Gedeelde beeldenrijke en verhalenvertellende werelden...

Ik waardeer je toevoeging, want ik bemerk dat ik nog in een top 20 beland...

Hallo,

Graag gedaan hoor! Ik had net wat boeken van Maaike Hartjes toegevoegd die ik voor mijn verjaardag had gekregen, en als er niet veel andere mensen zijn die een boek in hun library hebben kijk ik altijd even of we nog meer dezelfde boeken hebben. En dan voeg ik ze ook wel eens toe aan de interesting libraries ;)

Ja, die ene website kende ik al, maar bedankt voor de andere link op flickr, die was nieuw voor me! Ik ben er al mee begonnen toen ik nog bij mijn ouders woonde, maar ik kan mee voorstellen dat het verwarrend is om je boeken ineens zo om te gooien. Staan jouw boeken op chronologische volgorde van aanschaf of van uitgave?

thanks, however you have the most amazing collection. I work in the business - I am publisher of this little company www.blankslatebooks.co.uk and also involved in Forbidden Planet in the UK so I get a good number of books cheap or free. However you seem to work in IT? Not in comics which makes the library you have pulled together totally incredible. I notice you mention Lambiek as your favourite store - I've only ever been in twice but it has always been an incredible store (although when i was there a couple of years back it seemed smaller than i remembered it - I think it moved location). I'm publishing a near wordless book later this year by an artist called Stu Kolakovic (basically he is a Uk illustrator who really wants to find the time to be a comic artist) it's a lovely thing - maybe I could send you one when it goes to print and if you like it you could be an evangelist and get the Lambiek guys to buy into it. Thanks again for your hello - and your great collection which has helped me add my own.

As for the languages - wish I could read them all - I often buy foreign material on the art alone.

Unieke ruilbeurs Zwarte Beertjes

Op zaterdag 03 oktober organiseert Durk Stelwagen in een zaal van Motel Maarsbergen een ruilbeurs voor verzamelaars van Zwarte Beertjes. Het motel ligt aan de A12, halverwege Utrecht en Veenendaal. Is met openbaar vervoer te bereiken.
Er is voldoende parkeerruimte en ieder kan eventueel in het restaurant drinken en eten bekomen. De beurs begint om 11 uur en duurt tot 4 uur. Toegangsprijs: € 5,00. Hiervoor krijg je een halve of hele tafel ter beschikking voor je dubbele beertjes. Mocht de opkomst boven verwachting zijn, moet er geschikt worden.

Er is plaats voor een beperkt aantal (semi)handelaren. Toegangsprijs: € 15,00 voor twee tafels.

De beurs biedt een goede gelegenheid voor kennismaking en het uitwisselen van weetjes en bijzonderheden.

i have just added "Yiu - Die Apokalypse 2" (Yiu, Tome 2, La promesse que je te fais) and have noticed that your entry "Yiu, 02: De belofte" is combined with "Yiu, premières missions, Tome 2 : Les résurrections de l'impure".
is this correct?
i just wondered, the covers la promesse... and de belofte are the same.

Thank you very much for the recommendations! I've heard of Max Hamm but have yet to read it, though it seems awesome. The others I had never heard of but want to look into.

In the world of fairy tale-based comics, I would highly recommend the webcomic "No Rest for the Wicked" at http://www.forthewicked.net/

Oh, BTW, just in case you haven't gotten around to reading the whole thing (I see you own it), Lydia Lunch makes an appearance as the performance artist "Bedelia Brunch" in cartoonist Bob Fingerman's Minimum Wage comics.
That's more of the Lydia Lunch I'm familiar with than the Teenage Jesus-Queen of Siam -Lydia.

And I do know Lydia Lunch as well, since I'm from the New York area. I view her as even more of a performance artist than the other two. Interesting figure though.

Actually Lene Lovich was somewhat known in the states. "Lucky Number" was something of a New Wave hit here.
She recently performs as Madeline Usher in Peter Hammill's opera "Fall of the House of Usher".

I collected stamps as a kid along with coins, but fell out of it years ago. I do still find it fascinating on some level. They can be quite beautifully done, as paper money is as well.

And Lene Lovich's "Lucky Number" from the first album was also on that ep. Forgot that one.

Exactly, let's see how it develops. There isn't a group like it that I've seen in the big Groups list , so it does fill a gap, at least in theory.

You're right, Nina Hagen isn't really much known in the states, but I did hear and like the ep that was released here back in the 80's with "TV Glotzer", "Superboy" and "African Reggae". I recently caught the bug seeing stuff on youtube, and realized that she's an absolute maniac who will do whatever comes into her mind, and find it fascinating how she manages to make that work. The band she's with on the first album is a pretty amazing band actually, although I've heard a Spliff record -"The Spliff Radio Show", and that didn't set me on fire.
The archive footage from the TV show Rockpalast is great.
