Om mig I'm a seventeen year old highschool student with a passion for books, animals (rats, especially) and music.
Om mitt bibliotek I pretty much read whatever I can get my hands on, though for some reason I don't really like crime/detective books. I'm mostly a fiction kinda gal, with a few exceptions; I do enjoy some non-fiction WW2 books and biographies every now and then. I rely heavily on my local library, as I don't have the money to buy all the books I want to read (but then again, who do? =)).

It is said if you want to lose weight be in the company of skinny people. If you want success then be in the company of people that are already successful.
You are certainly going against the grain. Most people find this difficult to do. It is nice to hear that it isn't like that for you. At a young age you are able to know who you are and that is so very important. Some live their lives never knowing who they are. Believe me, when I say that.
I strongly feel that reading should be in everyone's life. Whether it be comics, newspaper, how to books, novels, etc. Those are my thoughts.
It is healthy being an open person. In ways, I was always open and it other ways closed. We don't have room for me to explain lol
After being sick I wanted to do more, read more and enjoy life more. I am very lucky in having my husband introducing classic novels. He has also picked out other books that he thought I would like and he hasn't been wrong yet.
The future is a scarey thing. It is hard for a person to choose today for what they want for tomorrow. Go with your gut feeling and your heart. If you haven't decided yet then you probably haven't really thought about something that you really want in the future. Keep your senses open and listen to your heart and thoughts. They will guide you.
It is nice to know I am not the only one that consider my books my friends. There are always something I can turn to, and they never talk back lol. Friends may come and go, but books will always be a part of me.
I know a lot of people, but have few that I would consider friends. They know who they are and I truely love them all.
If you love to write a book why don't you? Such a silly girl!! You might want to start to write a journal of some sort. I have started one so many times and never stuck with. I have one now, but I haven't been keeping up with it. Have to change that, won't I? I really should. It helps with your writing technique and also makes you observe your life in depth. I learn a lot about myself and my surrounding just by writing them down. Try it...I am positive you will love it.
I have just finished reading your message to me and feel that you would have no problem writing. The first thing you write is not going to be spectaular. It starts to be fun and you will soon get addicted.
My oldest son has always loved to write. He writes wonderfully. I wish I had his talent, but he started when he was in grade 1. He is working on a novel right now.
Me? Write? Shhh don't tell anyone. I wrote a little story for a book and it is coming out in September I think. I want it to be to be a surprise for my son's They don't have a clue. I have writen another story and will be out sometime in 2009. Believe me when I say I am not a writer, but hey I enjoyed it and am proud that a little something is out there with my name on it. Kinda cool.
Girl, it has been a joy corresponding with you and getting to know you. Sure glad you are on my list of friends.
Take care.

I have a strong feeling that you will go far in life. If you have a will, you will always find a way. I am proud of you. Really I am. :)
Growing up I didn't have many friends. When I found books I found a friend. A friend that I could always turn to. A friend that will always be there for me. My books were my bestest of friends.
Every book I read now I don't take for granted. Someone took the time out to write what they were feeling. Every page I turn allows me to feel that I am closer to knowing more than the page before. Every word I read, I hold on to it and feel it.
I have read for many years before I got ill, but getting ill has made me realize just how lucky I was to have my friends all around me. I could pick up a friend any time I wanted. I know realize how important these friends are to me.
As a child, I didn't know what the fasination of books were. I had a difficult time with reading and felt ashamed that I didn't understand what I was really reading. My parents didn't grow up with books and thought that I ought to read the newspaper, television guide, or the dictionary. Why would I want to read a story that wasn't true? I didn't have the answers then. Now I can't see my life without my books/friends.
Are you at all interested in writing a book someday?
Jacqueline
