I started collecting in Saint Paul, Minnesota shortly after I graduated from the University of Minnesota. I started buying used copies, cheap, of some of Ernest Hemingway's novels and short stories and have never really stopped adding to my collection. I just finished adding all my books and was somewhat surprised I only have 635 or so books in my library; I actually had never counted them so I thought the collection was larger, but I still am buying and adding.

I work as a writer/photographer for a Pennsylvania publishing company, Atlantic Communications Group, Inc, which is located in Flourtown, just north of the Chestnut Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. I work out of my home in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. I write magazine-style articles primarily for local chamber of commerce publications (directories, community guides, and magazines), in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New York, and Massachusetts. I am an avid reader/collector, and specialize in collections of a few favorite writers, Thomas McGuane, John Fowles, Dan O'Brien, Ernest Hemingway, Vance Bourjailly, Philip Caputo, Bill Granger, John D. McDonald, William F. Buckley, Jr., Garrison Keillor, Edward Rutherfurd, John Le Carre, James Lee Burke and Alafair Burke..

I tend to heavily use the Lebanon Community Library for much of my reading, and average, I guess, at least one novel a week.
