Om migI've lived in L'Isle Jourdain in the Poitou-Charentes since May 2001. It's a small town over-looking the river Vienne, which is probably best-known for its viaduct and the bungee-jumping opportunity it provides.

I was a librarian in the UK, now I'm a freelance proofreader and a full-time cat rescuer. I write a monthly piece for www.catnipchronicles.com, under the title "Maison Miaow". These articles are forming the basis for a book.
Apart from cats I love reading, cooking and travel when I have the chance - getting them harnessed to the cart exhausts any desire for further experience. Musically it's got to be blues...that and heavy metal, folk rock etc.
I'm a pack-rat for possessions: more books, CDs and DVDs than space to store them.
Have to update the photo as the ZZ Top look has gone.

Best day ever: England winning the Rugby World Cup in 2003. Next best day ever: England winning it again.
