I really enjoyed perusing your library. Thanks for saving me a lot of time making entries--we have a lot of books in common and the ones you have that also have the same covers as mine I took the liberty of add ing to my library. I'm a "newbie" to the site so every little bit helps.
I found 2 Sayers books that you have that I now plan to buy--I hadn't realized they were abvailable. I notice you didn't list Cannery Row in the Steinbect section--that is one of my favorites.
I'm another Williams fan; just completed a Master's in English and wrote my thesis on his Taliessin poems...
I had no idea there were other Charles William fans out there. Cheers!
One does have to be in the mood for CW, or he induces a bit of a headache... I started with "Place of the Lion" which is still my favorite. Certainly highlighted the holes in my philosophy education. ;-) I think that Lewis must have laughed at him from time to time.
Ah, a fellow reader of Charles Williams! Not a great many out there willing to muscle through him, it seems...
We have many books in common, though mine are not all listed yet. Read Jane Eyre, good adventure and thoughtful. Also Emma, that's fun. If it were mine to do over again, I would skip Wuthering Heights, but maybe everyone needs to read it once just to say they did.
Welcome to the Political Conservatives group! Thanks for joining. It's a pretty lively group -- enjoy!
