Om mitt bibliotek Some tags explained:

mom, dad - the book is/was my parents' and I either took it and kept it or took it and will - maybe, eventually - give it back.

sarah - These books used to be my sister's and are now mine. She probably doesn't want them anymore and they probably won't be going back to her.

Any other name - Thus far, any other name means I need to eventually give those books back to that person.

A year, a month - the month and year I got the book

gift: christmas, gift: birthday - self-explanatory

Hi! Thanks for setting me straight on the pronunciation. I'll update my review. Case made more sense to me based upon the spelling, but I obviously misread that part in the book. I really do appreciate you taking the time to let me know. I hope you have a great week, Jennifer.
Hello!

I did enjoy On a Pale Horse. Not the best book in the world, but a lot of fun. I haven't read much Zelazny other than the Chronicles. I'm pretty sure I also read Lord of Light and I think I borrowed A Night in the Lonesome October from you and remember liking it. The Chronicles of Amber (at least the first five) are my favorite of his.

I noticed the post below me was talking about moving tips...are you moving again? On my end of things, I managed to find a job. (Yay!) It's a grant position, so it's only guaranteed for 16 months, but who knows what will happen after that. They like to keep good workers around. :-)

Happy Reading!
Blue,

Asking for advice on something like moving, which I've done dozens of time, may get you more than you bargained for, but here goes:

I'd suggest looking at local newspapers and online (try googling your town's name + apartment); tell people you know that you are looking--they may know of something; and drive or walk around the neighborhood you want to live in and look for signs.

Aside from the obvious stuff when you go to see a place (number and size of rooms, closet space, counter space, etc.), look or ask about the following: are there enough power outlets? cable hookups? overhead lights or do you need more lamps? turn on the shower to check the water pressure! what's the arrangement for garbage pickup? laundry hookups or facilities? parking spaces? nearest bus stop? grocery store? pharmacy? fire station (because of the sirens!)train tracks?

If it's an apartment complex, ask if there is an on-site manager. What do you do if something needs to be repaired?

And, of course, the money questions: are any utilities included in the rent? How much do you need to move in (first, last, security, cleaning fee)? What are the requirements to get your security back when you move out?

So . . . good luck! My best packing tips are also available!

Elizabeth
I look forward to reading your review on Powerlines: Words That Sell Brands, Grip Fans, and Sometimes Change History. That was also a book I requested, and I own and have read numerous marketing books over the years. Hopefully Amazon adds the book preview soon so I can see if it's worth ordering. I snagged Gifts From The Child Within: A Recovery Workbook, which will probably do me more good than another marketing book.
