Om mig I live in Munich, Germany and - like a lot of people on librarything - I'm a bit obsessed with reading (and buying) books. I studied German and English literature at university. There we had of course quite a lot of set texts that we had to read. And while I've acquired a solid basis during my years there, I nowadays really enjoy to be able to read just what I want. And that's mostly British and American contemporary literature and non-fiction books on whatever interests me at the moment.
Om mitt bibliotek My library consists of different sections: literature in English, in German, quite a few books on literary criticism, history and cultural studies. And books on coaching, consulting, quality management etc. - that's my current field of work. What I've noticed while cataloging my books is that I suddenly start to remember things, facts and feelings are rearranging themselves in my brain and in a way it's a journey through my past but also through the basis of my thinking and believing. Books always were and probably always will be my most important means to make the world around me graspable.
