Om mitt bibliotekI started buying Dell Yearling Books back in grade school, and in middle school I started collecting old children's books. The four summers I worked as a bookseller added greatly to my library. Now I have books piled throughout my house. The picture above shows my paperback selves with just some of my treasures.

My Ratings:
5 Stars = I absolutely loved it!
4 Stars = I loved it!
3 Stars = I liked it!
2 Stars = It was okay.
1 Star = I didn't like it.

I usually try to read library books and then buy the paperback if it fits into one of the above categories.

Hi, D! I can't wait to go on my trip! I leave on the 20th! Whoo hooooooo!

I've missed you too! Do you know that I have missed every single episode this season? I've only watched the first two or so. GASP, right? I guess I just kept forgeting about it week after week. recently I've just been watching a lot of movies and drinking myself stupid(er). I have been watching White Collar, tho, and I might just be in love with Matt Bomer---tho he is kinda short for my standards. lol

I know its just going to piss me off when I see it, but I can't wait to see New Moon!
Definitely still loved it! I didn't watch any special features though so I missed out on all the additional information. I suppose it would have filled in the gaps for me. Eventually I'll see all the extras, but it might not be until Christmas when someone gets the DVD for me. I suppose I would have liked the Victor-Logan connection to have been more obviously continued in the other movies, but I'll get over it. ;)
Are you a big enough X-Men fan for me to ask a continuity question about the movies? Because in Origins, Victor is Logan's brother but in the older ones there is a Victor character with similar qualities to Origin's Victor, but they are apparently different characters. Are they not supposed to be different or is the name just a coincidence? Or (the most likely answer) I analyze light, fun action movies far too much. :)
Okay -- I have two movies I've been meaning to watch (The Tale of Despereaux and The Twelve Chairs) and may end up watching both of them this evening. I probably won't wait for movie watch time to start watching, but I'll be sure to drop in around 9:30 and chat for a while. See you then!
Hi Compski! Thanks for the message, it was so lovely to meet you (and Foggi, Espy, and Maren) at the meet-up! And thank you for asking about the job. I did not end up getting the job in Nashville that I was hoping for when you came, but I actually just today accepted a position at a zoo in Texas!

I hope all is well with you!
I finished My Most Excellent Year!
The more I think about it, the more I love your idea of buying a book on each LTer's recommendation on a meet up. If you don't mind, I think I will adopt that idea for all future meet ups. Such a great idea!

I have The Time Traveler's Wife on hold at the library so I will definitely be reading it soon. I've been meaning to for a while now, it's about time I got to it! Thanks for reminding me.
Oh wait now I see what you mean this Monday or Wednesday. I can pop in on Wednesday I think. Maren
Oh sorry Compski. I was arriving at the airport about then so I missed the meet up chat. Any plans I need to know?

Maren
yes'm!
Sounds good to me! LG and Lefty came in and chatted a bit last night, but we didn't put in a movie. I'll put Order of the Phoenix down officially for the 18th -- I was wanting to watch it again before the movie, anyhow. Thanks -- hope you had a nice holiday!
Huzzah! I'm super excited too! I know of the hotel you chose. It's easy to get to and close to plenty of things. Thanks for the update! July get here faster!
Maybe we should meet in chat some time later this week to discuss plans? I think that would be easier than messages back and forth. Let me know what evening(s) would work for you, and we'll find a time!
Yay!! I'm so excited it's almost here! I'm going to check out a couple of hotels to make sure I'm giving you the best information. Since it's a college town, we aren't short on hotels! I'll get back to you soon with a couple of suggestions.
OH thank you ! Thank you! I wish I could participate but (shame on me) I haven't seen the movie in forever and I forget how it goes!! Also I cant find the link I had for the script. OH who have I become? How could I forget something so important??
Hey compski! I left a couple of comments for your students (I'm so happy I remembered!). Just letting you know!
I left some messages for your students. I tried to fill in on ones that didn't have a lot of comments yet. It still sounds like a great project. Maren
I've been and left some comments about Tool School, the kids sound like they had a great time.

Hope you and Gregor are okay. Scottie is fine and has taken to Joseph quite well, although she really prefers babies that are on solid foods and happy to share.

We've just set up a flickr account that has some pictures of Scottie on there and many, many pictures of Joseph.

Hope the kids like the comments, talk to you soon.
No problem!
Cool! I really enjoyed reading about tool school last year, and this year's is great too! I've left a few comments (Under the name "Naomi (London)") - I'm really sorry I've not commented on everyone's yet. I'll make sure I go back and do some more.
I wish we'd got to do stuff like that at my school.
Hope you're well, compski.
xx
Cute! I'll certainly make time for this!
Hi Twin!

Glad you like our profile pictures!
I would be happy to help.

LOL! No problem, you're easy to "shop" for! It was fun!
Thanks! I've been wanting to read Outlander since I first started working in a bookstore (which was in 2000) so I'm excited to finally do it. Mandy's actually listening to the audio version of it right now too, which is fun!

My cousin is a hairdresser and she's going to give me a cut when I get there. I've been toying with the idea of going short, but I don't think I could pull off spikes, though I have a desire to be described as "a brownish area with points"...
