Well thanks so much for clearing that up! Now I can sleep at night!
Me again - I like to look at people's libraries and try and work out where they live - but you have me a little stumped...US LTers generally have a fairly American-oriented collection and you have quite a trans-altlantic mix. You have several William Golding novels (they make you British!) and yet there are the Warhols and the Garrison Keilor...hmmm...maybe you are Australian like myself? You have Eucalyptus - and all those Peter Careys. But the edition you have of Goon Squad - well that looks to be the US edition. Ok, I am going to draw a line and say, I think you are a very cosmopolitan Londoner (I am really confused by the covers of some of your editions!!) CAN YOU PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY!!!
Hello djashley - I only just received Goon Squad from Book Depository - I normally avoid books that seem a little 'gimmicky' but then it received the Pulitzer (and some great LT reviews) so I thought what the heck I will jump on that bandwagon! If you are enjoying iit - I am sure I will too (as we share so many books). I'll let you know! cheers Prue
Noticed you liked Lovely Bones, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here, as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it also contains a young female narrator struggling with a series of tragic circumstances. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Here's a link to a summary (and a sample chapter) in case you'd like to read more about the book before you commit:

Hi,

Saw you liked Trainspotting, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reading my new novel and posting your comments here (as well as on a few other book-related sites). Thought you might like my novel since it's also about a group of disturbed kids and a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Hi David,
It is very addictive isn't it! The Iain Banks is somewhere in my to read pile too - I should promote it.
I finished a five star book last week - 'The Dig' by John Preston (new out in pbk), a novel about the Sutton Hoo dig which was absolutely lovely. I heartily recommend it.
Am currently reading 'The end of Mr Y' by Scarlett Thomas, which is a strange thing - a modern gothic novel about a cursed book and mind-travel with bits of philosophy and quantum physics thrown in! Rather strange but mostly enjoyable at this stage...
Cheers

Hi - as a new entry near the top of my shared books list I had to investigate, and I love your tags - particularly 'nice surprise'. You have some great books that I should read, as well as the shared ones.
Cheers
Annabel
