Om migI've been a rather obsessive reader since I picked up my first Nancy Drew mystery during elementary school. Nancy remains a particular favorite of mine and helped to spur my lifelong love of series mysteries.
I also love a good comedy of manners, which I think is why I love to read chick lit so much. Unlike its detractors, I find the genre immensely relatable and a good way to lighten up life.
I can also be found reading the occasional bit of fantasy. I'm not much of a fan of science fiction, but I love Terry Brooks, Marion Zimmer Bradley, and things like that. Tolkien like Nancy is another childhood favorite and will always be the king of the fantasy genre for me.
I sometimes enjoy a graphic novel, but not often, because nothing can replace Archie comics when it comes to that sort of thing.
Om mitt bibliotekI use LibraryThing, because I finally started to keep track of what I was reading back in 2004, and I like how LibraryThing not only makes that easier to do, but how it is particularly good at finding similar titles to add to my library based on my past choices.
I also love to peruse other people's libraries on LibraryThing for possible titles to look at and I don't think I'll ever tire of seeing how remarkably diverse some of them are (not to mention how large!)
Overall, It's really hard for me now to imagine my reading life without the internet: Bravo, LibraryThing!

Thanks for adding me to your interesting library list. I hope I'm more than halfway done with getting my books entered into the catalogue, but, as all true book lovers know, books have a way of popping up in the most unexpected places. I've gotten the most obvious ones done, but I still have a 24 foot wall in the living room filled with book shelves (and books, of course!) that I haven't gotten to yet. And I just bought 5 new books today. Life is hard! The only drawback I can see to LibraryThing is that it takes time away from reading. But it is so satisying to watch the book numbers mount, isn't it?
Take care,
Jan Watson
