Hello DRJ, many thanks for your kind, thoughtful reply. I myself am a boomer, although I arrived in 1960 toward the tail end of the boom curve. I too recall the chaos of that era--the assassinations, the student and civil rights protests, the Vietnam War(in which my older brother was a helicopter pilot). I think many of the loudest voices of that period were obviously the Children of Rousseau. There is a certain reeducation theme that I am trying to accomplish in my own work--Natural Moral Law for instance is the basis of Benjamin Franklin's Poor Richard series.

Indeed the plot of my own novel--Napoleon Invades Louisiana--is nothing but an analogy for what is happening in the world today. All these new republics are springing up around the planet but upon what General Principles will they be based? Volney's pro-secular, anti-Rousseau themes have a certain resonance--if only folks would read the book...

Again, many remerciements for your reply and--in two weeks--I will be on vacation in Howey-in-the-Hills, and hence will be one of those tourists coming to Florida during your high season...All Zee Best, TCW
I'm from Southfield Michigan. Thank you, I am enjoying reading my current books. This is a nice site I'm so glad I found it.

Hi, yes I do love crystals. I have a large collection. I'll read anything that has crystals in the title.

Thank you for invitation, I am honored. :)

Many blessings,

Thanks for the compliments on my book Parallel Mind, The Art of Creativity. You might enjoy receiving my free newsletter, available from the blog of the same name:

As for fingerpainting at 60, you are never too old or too accomplished an artist to go back to basics. Since art is in the province of the child, we benefit immensely from things that engage our senses and allow us to play indiscriminately.
