I love your Dane. He looks a lot like my brother's. His is named Peanut. The Dane not my brother.

happy Reading

Thank you so much for the book of Eliot poetry! I really enjoyed reading it during break. And it's such a lovely edition, too! I liked it so much I brought it back to school after break, which considering I try to leave most of my Christmas books at home rather than lug them all halfway across the country and back again, is a sign of its quality. Thanks again, and I hope you had a very pleasant holiday.

P.S. - Sorry it took so long to get this note to you. I do all my Christmas thank-yous in one sitting, which inevitably gets put off for as long as possible.
I'm so glad you like the books! I really really hope you like the Pratchett-- his Discworld series is the most famous, but I couldn't figure out a good way to get you started in the series (I was hoping for a paperback collection of the first 3 books or so but couldn't find one). I know Discworld best (where Death rides a horse named Binky), and they're hugely entertaining. I hadn't heard of the other novel, either, but it sounded good. I truly hope you enjoy them and have a great holiday / break season!
OH WOW! ANOTHER TOOL FAN!!!!!! COOL I've always been crazy about tool...

lol

thanks! the playlist needs work but its really time consuming to tweak it, you know?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner I've been away for some time!

Hope you have an awesome week!

Cool dog btw! is it a great dane or lab?
Thanks for the book advice drsol! I will let you know what I think of The Historian and Jacob I Have Loved.

Now, to just find the time! The other day I thought my appendix was hurting. I got all excited because maybe I would have to have surgery and I could lay around and read for a week or two. It turns out the pain was on the wrong side. Oh, well, back to work :)

I see we have a lot of books in common, and they are some of my favorites! The Book Thief, Lamb, and The Time Traveler's Wife to name a few.
And here I thought even those gentle pics of Peter would scare everyone. Good to know there are some who don't want girly men. : ) Steele is one of my only 'adult' crushes. Never saw them live, but own a bunch of CDs and listen regularly. Cool that you have a signed one. They're on tour in the northeast US in October. Halloween is so their time.
You mentioned Hugh Laurie: Have you seen BBC's
"A Bit of Fry and Laurie"? (Alas, not on our tv any more but can find some on YouTube, or buy) Esta1923
Your dog is lovely! :o) My dog's best non-human playmate is a Great Dane named Honey. They can romp for hours. Whenever Honey gets loose she runs right over here and I only realize it when I see her loooooooong face, which is practically eye level with mine, looking in my back door.
I had to wear a name tag tonight, but it didn't have the "Hello, my name is" and in fact was supposed to be a life saving fund raising event, so I didn't have the nerve to write that. :)
I love it!
:o)
I have been interested in rescuing a Great Dane but someone told me they drool. Do they? I love large dogs and dearly miss my dearly departed overly large golden retriever. I can take just about anything in a dog but drooling.
Yes, I was enjoying it, until I had to put it aside to catch up on the books I need to read for the book clubs I belong to. It is very funny indeed, but it is also much more poignant than I was expecting it to be. The only other Christopher Moore book I've read is The Stupidest Angel, and it's not really like that at all.
