Om mitt bibliotek

Most of my own books aren't in LT yet, hence the frequency of "don't own". "Read but unowned" is usually books I purged because I knew I'd never reread them.

Om mig

I'm a Pagan, who celebrates the solstice and New Year (but not Christmas).

+++

Extrovert, whose friends are mostly trees & books.
Photographer, poet, artist.
I recognize on sight more mammals than most (non-biologists) have ever heard of.

After 'retiring' in 2009, unleashed my inner ultra-bookworm: I read 100-300ish books a year.

Clusters of interests:
+ art & design
+ biogeography/ecology /// in North America ~ Chesapeake Bay, Great Lakes, Southwest; elsewhere ~ northern Europe, Madagascar, Pacific Rim
+ cultural & literary criticism
+ First Nations' literatures, esp Anishinaabe
+ information design, data visualization
+ languages & translation
+ neurodiversity & creativity
+ photography
+ poetry, esp multilingual and translated
+ psychology & cognitive neuroscience
+ "sense of place" & terroir
+ social justice
