Hello Lisa...Thought you would like to know that i am sitting here with your book Black Out. I only started it late today and it already has me captivated. I have a feeling that i will enjoy this one as much as the last one if not more. Keep up the good work. Catch ya soon.

Jacqueline (callmejacx)
Hi Lisa, Just wanted to say 'hi' and I enjoyed your interview in 'Crimespree'.
bob
Thanks for being my friend!!!
I am so sorry! I havent reply you so far, Anyway thanks for accepting my request
I just finished reading Black Out! I usually do not write reviews but I had to write one for this book. I truly love this book and I am amazed by your ability to capture and keep your readers attention! I will be recommending this book and reading every book you write. My only regret is that I did not read it sooner! One of my favorite books!
Lisa, I just finished Sliver of Truth and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more of your work.

Have a great day!
Hi!
I recently read your book Black Out! Loved it! That was my second book by you, had also read Sliver of Truth, they were both excellent books. I will be looking for more of your books. Take Care!!

Sherrie
Hi Lisa,

Thanks for befriending me. I'm just getting to know the groups here.

I am so sorry! I haven't been on here in months and I've apparently missed a slew of friend requests. I loved your first book and it looks like you've written more. :) I'll have to read them ASAP!
Librarything has become one of my top sites.

I am so happy that I had found this site and then I found out that author's were also on here. How exciting is that? I looked up your name right away.

I had just finished [Beautiful Lies] and wanted so much to share it with someone.

Once in a while you get your hands on a book that you just have to share. Only trouble was I didn't own the book. Because I found Librarything I am able to share my book with so many.

If I could I would like to tell the world that this is "the book to read".

I am looking forward to my friend buying another one of your books and sharing it with me

Just yesterday I told her about Librabything. Wait until I tell her I am on your friends list. She will be so wonderfully jealous. Tee Hee.

Thanks again for adding me and very happy to have such a talented friend on my list.
Lisa: I just finished your book called [[Beautiful Lies]]. I have to be honest with you and tell you that I never heard of you before. One of my oldest friends lent me this book and wow. I don't know what else to saw. WOW. What a book. I was half way through it and thought this book should be over and done with. How can there be half a book left? It was amazing. I need to stock up on your books. I will have to tell my friend to buy more. LOL I will also have to mention you are here. and to join Library Thing also. I will get big brownie points for this one.

If your books are anything like [[Beautiful Lies]] you can bet that I will end up your number 1 fan.

Keep creating.

Jacqueline
Hi, read Beautiful Lies and am half-way thru Black Out. My husband and I are both entranced with your writing style and dead-on images. Happy to have found you and your novels and we hope you will live forever and keep on writing.
Hi Lisa, I saw your new book at BJ's this week and I am dying to get it! It looks great! I checked out your web page and saw the good reviews it's getting. Best of luck with it.
Hi Lisa,

Thanks for adding me here on LibaryThing. This is a cool place!

Much continued success,

K. Harrington
Hi Lisa- I read your book 'Beautiful Lies' last year and I wanted you to know that I it was undoubtedly one of the best books I read all year! What a wonderful story-teller you are. Keep on writing!
Kristin
I loved your both of your books and just went to the website for Black Out, can't wait to read it! I just discovered Library Thing this year, it was recommended by a friend, we both work at the public library together. We decided to start our Library thing accounts by tracking the books we read in 2008. I pass on recommendations all the time to patrons at work and readily suggest your books, can't wait to share the info on your newest one. Was very happy to see that you are a member.
Mindy
Hello Lisa. It is such an honor to post to you. I have Sliver of Truth and Beautiful Lies. I am currently undergoing Chemotherapy and quite often read different magazines. However, one day I picked up one of your books off my bookshelf. I have been reading Beautiful Lies during treatment and it is an incredible piece of work. I cannot put it down. The nurse's are wanting to borrow them when I am finished. Will be happy to share. I can not wait to purchase Blackout. Will have to order, I'm sure, since it is difficult to get out. Thank goodness for Amazon! LOL Take care and look forward to more wonderful work.

Kindly,
Christina
Your creative purpose and expression of individualism are mirrors into your soul. I wish you an exploration beyond the senses where you use your mind in the highest way. May you celebrate your harvest and may the rapture of existence inspire you to create your heaven on earth.
Hi Lisa,

I get on Library Thing sporadically so I missed your invitation back in November. It's amazing how many of the books on your list I've read or intend to read. Some I haven't entered into LT yet because I haven't made it back to the high school years but I love many of the classics on your list. Just read Pontoon (a little slapstick but good fun) and Playing for Pizza (ehh, but I think I'll buy it for my high school library - the boys will like it). Your books are very well reviewed and sound like good possibilities for me. I'll keep them in mind.
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for the friend invite, sorry it took me so long to respond! I am new to the social aspect of the Library Thing!! I don't know how to go about requesting you as a friend so if you would like to re-request me I would love to accept. Thanks!!
Dawnett
Hi Lisa. It seems you sent me an invitation to be your friend way back in November. I have to apologise for not accepting that invite. I am still fairly new in using Library Thing and didnt notice the message flagged up until today. How silly is that? I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and may I wish you a very Happy New Year. Ann (Lizzielady)
Lisa, I just wanted to tell you that I enjoyed your books so much. I finished Sliver of Truth last night around 2am. Your next one is on my list of books I don't want to forget to get. Can't wait!
I am always interested in anything you write so after looking at your main page I saw that there are some great things you have written recently. As soon as you have a new book out I will definitely be in line for it. Will there ever be another "Ridley" book? I truly enjoyed your first two books starring Ridley but would gladly read anything you write. Keep up the great work!
HI Lisa

I just finished Beautiful Lies and had a wonderful time reading it.
Looking forward to reading Sliver of Truth. Is this a Ridley Jones novel as well? Hoping so, because I do enjoy the book "series" where an author continues on ...... like Cornwell and her Scarpetta (which the newest is also sitting on the same stack Beautiful Lies was on)

I'm glad I put Fowles aside for a few days!

ken
We were in Ft. Myers for eighteen years, Lisa. I left a number of friends behind, but we're very happy in Arizona.
Well you still show up as being friended. *Shrug* That's kind of weird. :)
Hey Lisa

I picked up Beautiful Lies - sitting on the stack to be read next....trying to behave and not delve into it until I finish the current book I am reading which is a biggie....currently reading The Magus by John Fowles, which I started the day I picked up your book. The holidays, decorating for Christmas in the house, dealing with family, spending quality time with kids over Thanksgiving has slowed my reading down a bit.
I am trying to read more classics intertwined with modern fiction. So far so good, I think. I am using 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die as a basis.
The Magus is beautifully written, and even though it is nearly 700 pages, I think I should get through it hopefully in a week....sometimes I feel like taking a sick day from work here and there just to catch up on reading.
The back of your book is quite compelling...it is now sitting in my lap looking at me (how did it get there??? hmmmm) - It wants me to read it NOW! What the heck...it's going upstairs with me tonight! I'll report back to you when I have finished it! Fowles may have to wait!
Sure will Lisa. Thanks for asking.
Kinch
Thanks for the Friend Invite! I love you books! Ridley is a great charactor! When can I expect your next book to be available?
Hi Lisa

Was in Barnes and Noble today and got your book....So looking forward to reading it.....

Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

ken
Thanks for asking me to be your friend.
Thanks! I'm heading for the library this afternoon and plan to pick up your book.

Emily
Lisa,

Thanks for asking me to be a friend. Looking forward to checking out your books!

Lesa Holstine
Thanks for asking me to be a friend. =)

I had also just bought one one your books recently too. Its still in my ever growing TBR pile but it sounds interesting. And I think that I'll move it up a little in the queue now. =)
Hello, Lisa! Thanks for the invitation to be friends. I just joined LibraryThing last month and it's a pleasure to meet you and other passionate readers. I see that we share some of my favorite books, including two by Patricia Highsmith, whose work seems excruciatingly suspenseful to me (I'm sometimes actually afraid to turn the page). I'm going to browse your library further and look for some new ideas. The only thing that helps me get over the melancholy I feel when finishing a great book is the knowledge that there's another great one out there just waiting to be discovered! I see that a number of LT members have enjoyed your Beautiful Lies and Sliver of Truth, so I plan to check those out as well.
Hi Lisa!
As a bookseller I have been intrigued by your books as they have been ordered and put on the store shelves. You've been on my short list of new authors to read. I look forward to reading them now! Thanks for the invite -
Hi Lisa!

I'm very pleased you asked me to be a virtual friend. I looked at your web page (which is great!) and I've added your books to my wishlist. Ths site is a wondrfully addictive vice, but the best part is definitely the opportunity to make connections with so many folk of disparate backgrounds and talents who share a love of books and reading. I'm a pretty omnivorous reader and a very scattered amateur writer, but I always enjoy a good mystery!

Cheers!

Barb
Thank you for the invitation, Lisa. I enjoy browsing through other's libraries, although I am not too sure it is good considering how many unread books I already have on hand. :-) Still, I cannot resist. I look forward to exploring your website and library.
No problem! :) I haven't read your books yet, either. But I am always looking for new things to read. I go through a book (or two, sometimes) in a day. Lately, I've been going to the library and grabbing random things off the shelf just to keep busy. :) I'll definitely be reading yours!
Hi Lisa, I haven't read any of your books yet but I plan to check them out. Love your website!

Julie
I'm looking forward to exploring the books you wrote, the books you are going to write and the books in your library.
Thanks for the invitation. Browsing the 'shelves' I can see there are few things I will have to track down and read!
Hi Lisa!

Thanks for being a friend! I just got your book "Sliver of Truth" and it's up next on my TBR list....I enjoyed "Beautiful Lies" very much, so I know I'm in for a treat!
Hi Lisa. I finished Beautiful Lies the other night and it was great! I'm looking forward to reading the next one - which is sitting here waiting for me :)
Hi Lisa - thanks for the invite, it's kind of you to notice - everybody else's library is always absolutely fascinating isn't it :)

Regards KarenC
I do look forward to checking out Sliver of Truth...have it added to my reading list!

Best,
Summer
Hi Lisa, Thanks for the invitation. I haven't read your books yet, but I have read very good reviews about them. I'll have to check them out.
Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the invitation. I have to admit that I haven't read any of your books, so I guess I'll have to get busy!

cheers,

Carolyn
Thank you very much. My library is a never ending work in progress, but hopefully I will be building up fast... or at least as fast as I can read 'em:)
Thanks for the invitation! I truly enjoyed Beautiful Lies and look forward to reading more from you!

All the best,
Summer
Hello!
Thanks for the invitation to join your friends, which I accepted with pleasure.
I had already noticed your "Beautiful Lies", now I will definitely add it to the list of books I MUST buy!

Paola :-))
You are so very welcome. Thank you for the invite.
I have already read your "Beautiful Lies" and quite enjoyed it.
Am looking forward to more from you.
I truly LOVE "LibraryThing". Don't you? It's good that I was already retired when I came across it. No time for the working when you're "librarying" you know. I spend half my day on here and the other half reading. My daughter is so insulted because I used to watch her boys a lot when I was working and now, being retired, she thought I would have them all the more. Sorry--not happening.
Anyway thanx again for inviting me to be one of your librarything friends.
Enjoy your day and I hope you are reading something as wonderful as "The Last of the Mohicans" which I am still into.
N/B
You're welcome and thanks for the invitation. I am really looking forward to reading your books.
Sorry for my tardy reply -- I am a bad friend so far! Imagine my surprise when I realized a real live author wanted to be my 'friend' I just added Beautiful Lies on to my (very long) wish list! Our shared books are some of my favorite esp One Hundred Years of Solitude and Gone with the Wind. I do like thrillers as well -- I like them literary and spooky like Rebecca and Dracula which I have just read for the first time. And I think Salem's Lot is the scariest book I have ever read. I will look forward to reading your novel(s)!
Hi Lisa

Thanks for the invitation! Like many in the group, I look forward to reading your books. I am very familiar with your name, because as my wife accuses me, I am in a bookstore nearly everyday (well....mainly because they have coffee too!!!!) I am an avid reader and trying desperately to reach the 100 mark of books read this year, but I think I might be shy of around 20. With a full time job, and family to come home to, its kind of tough to get as much read. I look forward to the quiet hours after everyone has gone to bed and read until midnight. Thanks again for the invitation.

Ken in SC
You're welcome, Lisa, and thank you for the invitation! I visited your website (very nicely done!) and definitely want to check out your books. I love mysteries, and your sound really good!

Sharon
Thanks for inviting me to your friends group. I am pleased to meet you. I notice that we share 43 books -but I think it reflects the large size different in our libraries. The other comments on your profile has inspired me to read your books too!!!

Cheers,
Karen
I work for Davis Kidd Booksellers. It's part of Joseph-Beth Booksellers, if you're familiar with those. We're independent, but there are several stores. Two Davis-Kidds in TN and five Joseph Beths spread out here and there. I worked in the Nashville store for several years, but I recently moved to Memphis and am working there now. If you're ever in the Tennessee area, I'm sure we'd love to have you for a signing! Seriously, if you're ever planning on passing through Memphis, give us a call or shoot me a message here and I can put you in touch with the proper person. :)

I'm looking forward to reading both your books! I'll definitely keep them in mind when a customer asks for recommendations! :)
Thank you for inviting me to be your friend. As you can see I have accepted with pleasure. I haven't read any of your books, but they are available in Swedish, so I will give them a go when I get hold of them.

Best wishes from Sweden.
Thanks for inviting me to join your friends group. I'm not much of a joiner but here goes! My cat is trying to type something, also, but I won't let him hog the keyboard the way he wants to.
It's nice to meet you, too, Lisa. I see we enjoy many of the same authors. I'm curious to check out your books, so I'll keep my eyes out for them. I spent years in Florida and loved it, so I'm envious that you live there now. Have fun and keep that addiction under control ;-)
It's nice to meet you too. I haven't read your books yet, but I am looking forward to taking the dip. You seem to have developed quite a loyal readership.

JeanneD
Nice to meet you, too. I do hope I can track down your books somewhere, I love to chat with authors. I see we have quite the same taste in books, so I can only imagine I'll be hooked on Beautiful Lies and Sliver of Truth!
It's nice to meet you as well! I'm a longtime bookseller and I have an ARC of Beautiful Lies somewhere in my stacks. I'm looking forward to reading it! I know it's been out for quite a while, but you know how those "to read" piles are, especially if you're a bookseller.

Much luck to you with your future books!

Marisa
Hello Lisa,
Thanks for the invite, which as you see I have accepted with pleasure. I have to admit that I have not yet read your book,so as soon as I can get hold of a copy I will give it a go. Have looked at your excellent Home-page which is really well done.
Best wishes from the UK.
I can't get to your book immediately on arrival because I have several now that I HAVE to review as they sent me free copies to review. But I will get to it eventually. It sounds as if you write books similar to Sharp Objects. Have you read that one? At least Amazon thinks you do.
Greetings from New Brunswick, Canada! I am a teacher (English) and also a bibliophile---much to my husband's despair..."too many books in the house", he says......how could be be ever true!! Thanks very much for the invite. I am very interested in reading your books....I read such a wide range of fiction and nonfiction as you can see by my library. I just finished The Kite Runner which was wonderful and am reading Jimmy Carter's Palestine which is very interesting. I also LOVE mysteries and suspense. Should your books be read in a certain sequence...are they a series? I love to start at beginnings!
Lisa - thank you for your invitation.

I was intrigued because my grandmother's maiden name was Unger to hear from someone with that name, not the most common here, although more common in Germany of course.

kind regards
Caroline
Lisa,

Thanks for the invite. I just ordered a copy of Beautiful Lies. I look forward to it.

Candy
Thank you for your invite Lisa!
I look forward to reading your books, and having some interesting pow-wows soon!
Take care,
-Al
Hi Lisa... now I just can't wait until May 2008... am hoping I will be reacquainted with 'old friends'... looking forward to it regardless... keep on writing with passion sister... Proudwoman.
Hi Lisa, Nice to meet you. I had your book, Beautiful Lies, on my "to be read list", when your invite came in. I bumped it up and am now reading it. Wow! I have to say, I can't put it down! Last night I read half of it in one sitting and had to leave it to go to bed! I can't wait to get back to it! I'm not sure what it is about your writing style, but it seems so fresh! Silver of Truth is going on my list right away! Glad to add you to my list of authors of watch for.

Barbara Freeman
Hi Lisa

nice to meet you online! I really enjoyed Beautiful lies and look forward to reading more of your books. Isn't Librarything a joy? There is something curiously satisfying about adding one's books and seeing the list grow. In my case it's books I've read rather than books I own, but in most cases that is the same thing (especially in recent years as I have been able to afford to buy more books!)

Best wishes

Sarah
Thanks for letting me add you as a friend. I have read Beautiful Lies and really enjoyed. I am currently reading Sliver of Truth and am liking it so far. I am a fan of Ridley.
Lisa! Thanks for friending me. I loved BEAUTIFUL LIES and am so happy to see you've got your next book out. Maybe I can get it in time for my weekend trip to Sedona...hmmm. Best, Laura
Well, thank you for asking me to be your LibraryThing friend. When I saw the request I thought, "Lisa Unger, Lisa Unger, that sounds really familiar." Then I realized who you were and freaked out. I really enjoyed your novel and am looking forward to reading more.
Hi Lisa,

I love both your books. Read both of them last year and sent copies to my sister. She has a habit of re-loaning books and I didn't want to lose my copies. We don't share an awful lot of books, but readers always connect. Look forward to seeing you in the forums and to your next book.

Siubhan
I have Beautiful Lies and Sliver of Truth on my To-Be-Read list. Nice to see you on LT!
Thanks! I've got both your books sitting nearby - and will definitely read Beautiful Lies in the next month or so - I've heard great things about it and have even sent it to several people as gifts!
No problem! I haven't gotten a chance to read your book yet, but I'm looking forward to it! It's next in line after I finish the one I'm reading.
Thank you for the invitation! I really enjoyed Beautiful Lies and and looking forward to reading Sliver of Truth and any future books you write.
Thanks for the invite... it was a bit of a spin out to see it!!! I loved both Beautiful lies and Sliver of truth - can you hurry up and write another one... I love your style of writing!!!!

Proudwoman.
Okay, now I've got Sliver of Truth. I'll let you know what I think after I finish it or get further along. I can't wait until your next book comes out. Will that be April or May 2008? Seems I had read a date somewhere, thought I am sure dates change. :)

BinnieBee
Lisa - I just love the name ;-) Since I share it..
Thank you for inviting me as a friend. I loved Beautiful Lies, I have the sequel in my TBR. I'm just waiting for a chance to read it.
I am very selective about the suspense fiction that I read these days. I was weaned on suspense and horror, though I tend to read much more literary fiction these days. Beautiful Lies really pulled me in and was one of those gems that will always keep me coming back to the genre. Your on my list for suspense that must be read along with Dean Koontz (my personal favorite), James Patterson, Tami Hoag, Jeffrey Deaver & Linda Howard. Keep up the good work!!

I enjoyed perusing your bookshelf and was happy to find that we share quite a few books.. I am always interested in the books that inspired writers as I am an aspiring author myself and knowing that we loved some of the same books, makes me feel as if I might someday do it too..
Lisa Fischbach aka Booknose
Thanks so much for the friend invite. I loved Beautiful Lies and now just have to find time to read Sliver of Truth. Beautiful Lies has made it's way to my keeper shelf! Can't wait for the next one to come out!
Hi Lisa,
Beautiful Lies has been sitting on my nightstand waiting to be read next, so I was thrilled to get an invite to be added as your friend. Thanks!
Rose
Lisa- I see we share a few books. You've definitely got a diverse mix. I see you recently started your LibraryThing account. I've been working on mine for a year; still tagging away. It's taking forever.

My husband read "Beautiful Lies" and enjoyed it a great deal. The endorsement form Lee Child was a winner. He love's Lee Child. I see quite a few other LT members have enjoyed your books as well. What a nice compliment!

I am an reader who enjoys writing; sometimes I wish I were a writer that enjoyed reading. Not sure when I'm going to get a manuscript completed with 2,000 books in my dining room waiting to be read. When I get an hour or two of free time, I usually end up reading while feeling guilty that I'm not writing.

I imagine as a published author it must be fun (if not a bit surreal) to sneak a peak at all the libraries containing your work!

It snowed in Anchorage today. How was the weather in Florida? - Linda
Thank you for the invite. Now you have inspired me to find the time to read Beautiful Lies and review it on my book blog. I can't wait. The book is one of those with a book blurb that made it hard to resist.

I look forward to posting the review link here for you when done :)
Thanks so much for asking me to be a friend. I am honored to accept! Your books, Beautiful Lies and Sliver Of Truth, are some of my favorites! You are extremely talented. I have been recommending your books to my friends on LibraryThing. I am anxiously awaiting your next book.
Loved your book Beautiful Lies! I just today saw you request to be added as a Librarything friend, so of course I accepted. Thank you! I'll have to check out Sliver of Truth!
