My favorite books include: Middlesex by Jeffrey Eugenides; The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay by Michael Chabon; The History of Love by Nicole Krauss; The Book of Daniel by E.L. Doctorow; Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell; The Wind-up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami.

I work as an adult services librarian at the Hayward Public Library, a small but dynamic library just south of Oakland, where I live. Almost as much as reading literary fiction, I love reading about and discussing books. I run The Mostly Literary Fiction Book Discussion Group at the Hayward Public Library (you can join this group on the GoodReads network, or join our discussions at the Library on the 2nd Monday of every month). I am also a member of the Extreme Readers, a book group based in my neighborhood that came together through our wonderful independent bookstore, A Great Good Place for Books in Oakland.
