Hello,
I was just given Bulgy the Barrage Balloon by Enid Marx. I'd not heard of her before, but when I looked on LT I see you have several of her books. If you'd care to tell me anything about her, I'm interested.

Oh wait, I may be incorrect -- in one view it said we had 122 books in common (which is too high) but on your profile page it says we have 42 books in common, which is, I believe, accurate.

Good morning Pythagoras.

I was just perusing your interesting library. Not that it matters on a practical level, but I notice that while we have a lot of books in common I believe LT is overcounting the actual number. I see a number of examples of, what is, in my case, a single copy of what i know is something in my library, being counted a number of times over in numberous editions, when in fact i just may have one copy in one edition. (Although there are titles i do have in more than one edition, but not as many as LT thinks.) But in any case, you have an impressive library!

Even once one discounts the Nivens, etc. (which belong to my husband and son), we still have an interesting set of books in common. Actually I was looking up C. O. Skilbeck. Apparently we each have one (different)book of his that noone else has.

Hi! I see we share some books. I did note however that Library Thing for some reason is listing multiple editions of a title as separate items i have, especially the Parson's Handbook, of which i have -- in reality -- only one copy. LT did the same thing with "Common Worship". Which means in actuality we dont share 51 titles in common -- however we still do share quite a few titles and interests. Great minds and all that ... :)

Hi, I notice that we are the only people on LT that share Lord Berners' memoirs, The Slide Rule a Practical Manual, and Die Münchner U-Bahn. Unterirdisch durch die bayerische Landeshauptstadt (as well as some maps and a couple of other railway books). I'm not sure how many obscure books in (apparently) unrelated genres you have to share in a population the size of LT to be statistically significant, but we must be well on the way!

I enjoyed browsing your books. We have a good few in common: mathematics, Folio Society, and printing-related in particular. I notice that your copy of the Old School Press's The Fell Revival appears as a separate work from those that Martyn Thomas and I have, and has a different ISBN. I imagine therefore that it is a deluxe copy. I was going to combine the two works, as I think they fall within the LT guidelines for a single work, but as there are so few copies I thought I could easily check to see if you agreed before doing so.

I noticed your Thomas Bewick strand too; I'm in the last section of Jenny Uglow's biog, and greatly enjoying it - though I have to keep a magnifying glass at hand to see the vignettes properly.
