Slumpade böcker från rhulchers bibliotek

Om mitt bibliotek My library is mostly hard cover, lots of first editions in excellent condition. I am into mystery/detective and hard science fiction and read almost zero in the non-fiction category. I read about one book per week and buy new books only (so far). I would love suggestions on authors that I have missed, especially in the hard sci-fi category (please, no fantasy). I may be interested in swapping books, depends on how closely attached I am to a particular volume.

Noticed you were looking for suggestions so thought I would throw the Hyperion series from Dan Simmons out there. It's science fiction, but might be a little fantasy, as well. Either way, it's one of my favorite series of all time (four books). Excellent writing, incredibly detailed and vast universe of ideas and concepts, and just a plain good story. I'm in the process of entering my library, so you won't find it there, but it'll be in there eventually!
