Well, it's a mystery...what I would do is on the thread ask that whoever got you check to see if they can see your address (I have it set so that only the person who drew you can see it) and ask them to let you know anonymously through elfster.
Weird. I'm about to leave my desk for the afternoon, but I'll try to look into it tonight.
Hey! I'm planning on mailing something to you within the week. What address should I send it to? I hope all is well for you! :)
Yeah!!!
Rissa,
Did you get your package? bites nails She assured me that it would be there before you left. If it's not there, will they forward mail to you?
Hey rissa! I know you got the package, but I also know a lot was going on then. Now that things have calmed down for you, I just wanted to check in and see how you liked it.
I sent it today, you should expect it sometime this week!
Hi, rissa! A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope your winter break is going well. :)
The less theming, the easier to match anyway! Thanks for the info!
Hey! I have a couple of questions about tentative nursery decor. Are you thinking you'll do your nursery in pirates or only if it's a boy? And if it is a girl, are you going to do the pink and frilly thing? Or are all such decisions pending knowing boy/girl? I was just thinking about shower stuff, but I know I'm early. I can be patient ... I think. ;)
That's what I figured. I have the perfect thing!
How pirate-y are we talking? Is it realistic pirate or cutesy babified pirate? Because I found a really cute pattern that would look great on a nursery wall, but if you're going for a gritty realism it won't work.
Hey Rissa -
I had multiple responses to my offer to give away the free-year account so if you didn't get any takers let me know and I can pass a runner-up your way! :)
Congrats, riss. I wish you both the best of health! :)
Thanks for the link rissa! :o)
KIK! How's school? I hope we'll see you around more often now!
Hi ris!

Have a wonderful first week of classes!

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
I'm glad everyone had a good time! I hope work's going alright, that the guy's super sweet, and that you'll get a chance to finish Breaking Dawn soon. With luck you'll get into your Early Reviewer book soon! Can't wait to hear what you think of the books. :)
Hi, riss! I hope you and your sisters are enjoying your week with family. :)
Thanks ris!

I should have cat send you her snickerdoodle recipe!

Cristina
*applause for rissa's anti-vaccine ramble*

Thanks ris. That helps so much. The last non-mandatory vaccination we did was for Marina. She had the chicken pox vaccine at twelve (only because she wanted to attend a camp out of state that required it). Her arm swelled to baseball size at the site of the injection and heat radiated from it. I've been hesitant since then to have her get any vaccine that wasn't required.

What saddens me the most is that there has been such an increase in required vaccines just in the 15 years I've had children, Sierra had injections almost every doctor visit from 3 months to 4 years old. I have my BA in Psychology. It is very clear to me that she fears doctor visits at this point because she associates them with pain.

Let me know when you become a pediatrician. Maybe I'll move near you. :o)

Cristina
Hi ris,

I have been keeping up on this issue. At present, it's been reduced to a mandatory meningitis shot for seventh graders. I was asked about whether I wanted Marina to get this vaccination (it's supposedly good for ten years) but I was hesitant since I don't know much about it. I was actually going to ask you if you know anything about it!

Right now, I get a lot of information from my homeschooling loop and this site:
www.mykidsmychoice.com
My main problem is that when I try to find info, it is usually in medical-ese, which I no speaking well. :o)

Thanks for your comments! I'd better finish my comics now!
Cristina
hey rissa!
i see that u r online right now.
could u please help me by going to a thread under hogwarts express group named "Harry Potter dies" and flag the first post???

Thanks for the comment ris.
And ouch about the pencil in your back. This is another good reason to force them to sit upright. :o)

Peace and Laughter!
Hi ris!

Thanks for the comment on my blog! I wanted to tag you as well, but I wasn't sure if I could since your blog is an assignment.
So funny! You do know me well, don't you? I'll have to think of something interesting that you wouldn't know. Let me think about that...:o)

Peace and Laughter!
I come bearing *hugs*. Breathe while you wait for those test results and I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Soon it will be summer vacation for you - all those wonderful books to read! I can see them piled and waiting just another month away, and soon you will be as you were in the adventure thread: sitting curled up with a good book that you are lost in, completely wrapped and obsorbed in a good story while many other good choices sitting around you. Fishies awaiting to be eaten...
aw! Well maybe you can sneak of to Portland some time... for research purposes, of course! ;)
Happy Birthday!!! I hope you had a fun time. You're "old" according to spaz. :)
Hi rissa!

I wanted to thank you again for the comments you leave on my blog! I'm so glad you read it! I'm thinking of starting a list on my blog for LibraryThing friends who blog. When I have some extra time. (snort. mmmha-ha-ha-ha! I knew I couldn't say that with a straight face.) If it's OK, I'll add your blog to the list. I keep better track of the blogs listed on my blog.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
yes you do.
You Know I own both Twilight and Son of a Witch.
Congrats on being student of the month!!:)
cool pic!
I've been loving your comments on my blog! Keep them coming!
And please send some snow. This winter has been very boring.

Peace out,
Cristina
thanks
I knew it was only a matter of time before I joined. ;)
Hi rissa,

That is so funny with your sister! And in an odd way, it proves that unschooling works!
I'm always amazed when my friends tell me how organized I am with my homeschooling. All I do is write a list of subjects for the week and we check off whether we've done them. The kids do the rest. All I want is for them to take control of their learning, and if that meant writing up a schedule with the amount of time to spend on each subject, I guess I would do that too.

BTW, I submitted my article and comics to Secular Homeschooling magazine. I'll let you know when that comes out.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
hi ris, I had great fun tonight. I would like to do it again sometime. I always check my profile for messages so if you want to tell me when to go to the chatroom next, I'll be there.
Hi rissa. This is shanfan. thanks for the message, it feels good to be accepted into the LT community. I look forward to seeing you in other places in library thing.
Hi rissa,

I read your comment on my blog! So funny, I remember doing that in school. Then there was that time I studied so hard for a final, I couldn't see clearly. Everything was so blurry I could see people wave at me but I couldn't tell who they were until they were right in front of me. I'm still amazed I passed that exam.

Mine was a small community college. I never had one of those huge classes with hundreds of students. You must make quite an impression if they say hello to you on campus!

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
Hi rissa,

I just wanted to thank you for starting a birthday thread for me. I noticed it this morning but decided to wait until my actual birthday (Dec. 4) to look in there, that way it's like an extra present waiting to be opened!

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
