Om migI am an English & Education special major student at Swarthmore College whose interests include reading, writing, physics, nature, swimming, and piano. I like to write reviews of the books I read--that is, in between swimming and doing Admissions stuff. I'm going to try to balance required with nonrequired reading, so that I don't feel like I am always so behind my TBR list, although with the recent discovery of excellent used bookstores I am seriously losing this battle. (It's a battle I don't mind losing, though.)

Om mitt bibliotekNow that I have a *gasp!* lifetime account, this is my entire library, which is marked by OWN, plus a lot of books that I have borrowed from the library and reviewed or whatnot.

I noticed you have a copy of "Dune" by Frank Herbert. I just posted a video review of the book. You can find it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BKc4A7cPV...

I'd like to hear your opinion on the book, perhaps in the form of a video response or a private message on either LibraryThing or YouTube. A comment on the video would be just as cool, too.
House of Dance was a wonderful book, wasn't it? Read Kephart's other books...especially the new Nothing But Ghosts.
I really liked Singing the Dogstar Blues. You MUST read EON: Dragoneye Reborn by Goodman. Excellent.
Loved your review of Eon: Dragoneye Reborn. I'm so excited for the sequel!
Noticed you liked Girl Interrupted, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's mental illness and also a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

Yes, the Magic Garden on South Street. I loved that place--magic indeed!
I was impressed by your review of Among the Hidden. I look forward to reading your other reviews.
Hi Stephanie! You can call me Carol or Carolina. I really don't mind. :)

Nice to see you on LT as well!

Carol(ina)
Yeah I should probably stick to one name oops! I either go by my name or some version of mint910! I notice that a lot with the message boards on here, I'll talk to someone on here and then on their blog and be like oh my gosh, you are the same person!!!! :)
Hi there! *waves*
That was actually the first John Green book I'd read. I'm just starting to read 'Looking For Alaska' and 'An Abundance of Katherines' is next in my TBR pile!
Hi,

Yep, I based my name off his book, Paper Towns. I absolutely love it!
Thanks, by the way! :)
Thanks so much, Stephanie! It sounds like it'll be a great read. I told my fiance what you said and he mentioned that his parents happen to have a copy, so it looks like we definitely have The Count of Monte Cristo in our reading futures!
Thanks for replying, Stephanie. Graceling does sound like it would make a good recommendation for her.

See you around the 50 Book Challenge.

Teresa
hey stephanie, i didnt see your comment on my profile til now :( whoops me!! :D
I just wanted to let you know that your comment about the new Emily Giffin book Love the one you're with, may needed to be updated due to having the main charter's name wrong her name isn't Emma it is Ellen!
I guess in the sequel to City of Bones there could be a romance between Clary and Simon...she seemed to be leaning a bit in that direction as well. I agree, I always like books better if they have a little romance in them!
Will have a proper look through your books as we only share 19 at the moment so will be good to get some fresh ideas. Cheers for your comment on 50 book challenge!
You're right, it is a book I would be interested in :-) I read City of Bones a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it! Have you ever read any of Clare's Harry Potter fanfiction? I never read any of it and didn't know she wrote it until I saw the comments on amazon.com. What did you think of the twist with Clary and Jace?
well, my mom didn't really think much of the fee so I got the lifetime account =)
But the frustrating thing is I can't remember what I've read, lol. Even if I like a book I usually have trouble placing names and whatnot.
oh well, from now on I can organize what I've read, hehe.
hey steph, found this on your facebook and love it, hehe.
The lifetime account was a belated Christmas present to myself this year LOL When I started cataloging my own library instead of just what I was reading at the time I realized I had no choice :-)

Right now I'm re-reading The Named and The Dark by Marianne Curley (finished The Named last night). I read them about a year ago and really rushed through because I was so anxious to see what would happen next. This second time around is even better because I think I'm actually "seeing" more of what is going on this time around.
Hi Stephanie! I thought I was the only one who hadn't found all the books in the house. ;)
We're both on the YA book group over on myspace and I thought I'd stop by and just say, "hi!" I guess we share quite a few books too :-)
