This story is a fun read because of the original plot and inventive plot.
The story starts out when an old man gets his wife to make her special sweet dream pie, but she makes it cautiously because there are consequences for eating to much. It takes all day for the gigantic pie to cook when it is finished it is big enough for the couple to share with the whole neighborhood. While the old wife is giving everyone a sslice no one heeds her warning to only eat one slice and when everyone goes to bed after eating several slices of pie everyine has wild dreams that come to life whil they are sleeping. The old wife is up most of the night frghting off the wild dreams with her broom. This book is for PreK- 2nd grade students. It tells the story of Ma and Pa Brindle who cooks a secret recipe for a giant pie. The pie makes all who consume the pie have weird dreams, in which they all come to life. Ma Brindle eventually ends the adventures but will also keep children on their seats. Overall, great read!

This book is about Ma and Pa Brindle who were unable to get any sleep. They decided to make some sweet dream pie that included: gum drops, candy corn, marshmellows, cinnamon hots, gum, jelly beans and a lot more. After the pie finished all of the neighbors came over tot the Brindle's to have some of the pie and they all started having wild dreams! ( )

This is a great story about an old man who convinced his wife to make a sweet dream pie for him, even though she warned him that the consequences were not going to be good if he ate too much. The entire neighborhood was entranced by the pleasing aroma that they all ended up in a line for a taste of Ma's delectable pie. They all ended up eating too much and had wild and crazy dreams come out to play.

This book is a wonderful fantasy about how a street strangely changes all due to the creation and distruction of a sweet dream pie. Yound children will love the story but there are so many words on each page only older grades from third to fifth would be able to read such books. Children will love this book and the fun pictures!
