Science Fiction. Suspense. Young Adult Fiction. HTML:The visions aren't stopping, and neither is the danger in this series conclusion from the New York Times bestselling author of the Wake trilogy.
After narrowly surviving two harrowing tragedies, Jules now fully understands the importance of the visions that she and those around her are experiencing. She's convinced that if the vision curse passed from her to Sawyer after she saved him, then it must now have passed from Sawyer to one of the people he saved.

That means it's up to Jules to figure out which of the school shooting survivors is now suffering from visions of another crisis. And once she realizes who it is, she has to convince that survivor that this isn't all crazyâ??that the images are of something real. Something imminent.

As the danger escalates in this conclusion to the Visions series, Jules wonders if she'll finally find out why and how this is happeningâ??before it's too late to prevent dis

After figuring out and acting on Sawyer's vision, Jules now believes that someone involved in the school shooting may have been "passed" the vision curse. She feels responsible to whoever that might be because the visions started with her. So Jules, Sawyer, Rowan, Trey, and Ben set out to find all the victims and question them. When that person is found, figuring out the vision isn't going to be as easy as it was the first two times. The person having the vision isn't exactly being cooperative, and with little to go on it's going to be almost impossible. With time running low, are they about to find out what happens when they can't stop a vision from coming true?

My Thoughts:
Oh how I loved this series!! The characters is what truly did it for me. I can't get enough of Jules' silliness, dry humor, and list making. I love the sibling relationships AND the romantic relationships. I don't even think it really mattered what did or didn't happen with the plot because I was just so in love with the people in this book.

It's hard to speak a lot about the plot because I feel like the publisher's description is pretty vague. I will say there is another vision (or more) involved. The person having the visions is not exactly cooperative and it makes the hunting of the vision even more frustrating than the other ones. There is a lot more DeMarco family drama, although it's definitely toned down. And of course there is more Jules Sawyer =
I loved the adventure of this series and the way this final book wrapped up was beyond great. It made me so happy that there was vision closure at the end!! What I was not so into was this really awkward sexy-time moment between Jules and Sawyer that was just uncomfortable for me to read. I guess it's normal for teens to be finding out about how their bodies work, and exploring sexuality for the first time can be awkward, but I didn't really need or want to read about it. It was icky. There were also some moments where the characters did things that just didn't make a lot of sense to me. I wish I could tell you what they were, but I think it would be too spoilery. Let's just say when someone in the book may be in severe harm, the other characters bail. I can't imagine leaving people I care about for dead no matter what the reason.

If you're thinking about reading this series, I say YES!! It's a cute and thrilling set of books and I FLEW through reading each one. Easy, fun, captivating reading!

OVERALL: I loved the way this series wrapped up. A new vision(s) and new relationships added with awesome characters made this book as awesome as the first 2 for me. I'm a little sad it's over, and I will recommend this underrated series to everyone :)

This was a nice finish to an enjoyable series and the front covers of these books are great. ( )

This is the third in the visions series, and it is just as good as the first two. This story involves a ferryboat crash with lots of potential victims. It also details the continuing story of the heroine Jules, her boyfriend Sawyer, her gay brother Trey and his new love interest Ben, sister Rowan and her continuing drama as well as her parents newly working together to overcome the loss of their home and business. This is obviously going to be the last in the series as all of the loose ends in the first two stories are tied up here. I found all three to be very entertaining ( )

Gasp has been on my wishlist for a while since I love Lisa's fast paced books about kids with visions. Jules is the main character and I adore her heart for others, wanting to help and do all that she can. Her narrative voice is right up my alley because she is snarky and I can relate with what she is going through. Well, not the vision part, but the dysfunctional family. I've also enjoyed the family feud between her parents and her boyfriend Sawyer's.

The romance is sweet and seeing them together is swoony, real and becoming one of my favorite romances. While they have their differences of opinion at times, ultimately they want to be there for one another and help through these hard situations. They have both been in the position of having these visions, and the horror and responsibility that puts on their shoulders. Once they knew the visions were going to happen and lives were at stake, they did all they could to learn how to prevent them.

Though I mentioned the dysfunctional family earlier, I guess it is mostly how much they have worked growing up, and the fact that their dad is a hoarder and seems to be severely depressed or have bipolar. He's absent a lot from their lives and the business, and they have to walk on eggshells around him. But what is amazing is how it has drawn Jules and her brother Trey and sister Rowan together. Their close relationship, and genuine friendship--having each other's backs and confiding in one another is another aspect of why I love this series.

The subplot with Trey and his romantic inclinations is nice. I like that he finally gets some love in this one and the emerging sweet crush is fun to read about when the pressure of finding who the visions got passed on to, or if they indeed get passed on to another victim becomes so intense.

Gasp was just what I needed to get out of a reading slump-- after several DNFs and one that I barely held on to in order to review. Its the perfect blend between steamy (in ya terms), action, funny and serious stuff going on. These teens take on so much more than they should for their age, but they want to save people, they can't sit back and be complacent.

In Gasp, something tragic happens with Jules' family, but I appreciated how it woke her parents up to the lifestyle they'd created, and what was missing and wrong. I liked seeing the transition and also that it wasn't easy on anyone, but that its a great first step.

The ending was great, and it left me satisfied with the series, and with a sigh of contentment at what Jules, Sawyer, Ben, Tori, Rowan and Trey's futures could look like, and that they have every chance to have their HEAs, not only at the end of the book but also bigger ones for the rest of their lives.

Bottom Line: Perfect ending to the series, maintaining the snark, action and responsibility for others that they feel but also a journey to letting go at a certain point.

"Gasp" By Lisa McMann

The 3rd and final installment in the Visions series.

(May contain spoilers from the first two books)

Jules story began with a vision she couldn't control, one warning her of a preventable tragedy, one that would claim nine lives if she didn't act.

In book two Jules is no longer seeing visions but that doesn't stop her from being pulled right back into the line of fire. Saving her boyfriend Sawyer from the horror of not being able to stop a catastrophe is the least she can do since passing the visions onto him.

In "Gasp" Jules has the support of her boyfriend, her siblings and a friend whose life they previously saved, but will that be enough to convince the new 'seer' to trust them? While dealing with school, work and family drama they all must race against the clock in order to determine where the next disaster will strike.

Will saving others cost them the lives they worked so hard to save in the past?
Will they be able to make a difference at all?
Or is the only way to escape the curse the very thing they have thwarted?
Death itself.

If you enjoyed the first two books in the series (and really who didn't) you will not be disappointed by this thrilling conclusion.

I highly recommend it and only add a warning not to pick this up unless you have the time to finish it in one sitting. It will grip onto you from page one and you'll have to pry it's fingers open long after the last sentence.

Until next time,
