It's about a young girl being teased about her bicycle, and having to overcome and learn to accept what she has. Students need to know that their parents can't and won't always buy the newest things, and they they need to work with what they have. This is a great story that students will relate to. This book is for PreK- 2nd grade. It revolves around Nona, a girl constanlty teased for her bike and her parents' refusal to buy her a new one. She decides to throw away her bike so that the teasing will end. She ends up racing in a biking contest with all her bike parts refurbished by her parents. This book has a great lesson of acceptance. Overall, great read! I think this is a good story that most children of all ages can relate to. In the story the girl has an old bike and wants a new one. Her old one is falling apart and she believes that she shoud get a new one and not just any bike but a red racer. Although children feel they need new things parents do not always agree. That is the story line of this book. Ending a bit dry. But great engaging book to do live. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
