![]() Det finns inga diskussioner på LibraryThing om den här boken. A great informational text, especially if you are struggling to stick to your goals. Regardless what it is you are trying to achieve this book is ready to get you where it is you want to be. Giving up is not an option. ( ![]() I’m trying to figure out the massive popularity of this book when it felt like a rehash of things I’ve read before in other books. I got some benefit from some concepts but unfortunately don’t think my life has been changed; oh well. Also apparently my new thing is trigger warning people who might suffer from disordered eating as yikes here to that and the fat phobia. I really wish habit books would quit talking about people getting “healthier” by losing weight as if they know anything that they’re talking about; every single chapter mentions some sort of dieting so be forewarned. This book is tremendously helpful. The tools are really useful and motivating. I immediately put habit stacking to use, and it works! 4.8 out of 5 star This has been the best book I've read so far in the genre. As someone who is working on starting a small business, I try to read a lot of books about organization, self-improvement, and habit forming. It can be hard to stay organized while working a full time job and trying to start a business. This book has felt most applicable to improving your life even if you're not already a highly educated person with a great paying job. Instead of relying completely on examples of already successful people gaining more success, Atomic Habits uses information from scientific and psychological studies to back much of the advice. It is a quick read and it can give the motivation to get started on changing your habits.
If there’s an Armageddon and my backpack only allows for five books to bring to a new planet, Atomic Habits by James Clear is one of them.
James Clear, an expert on habit formation, reveals practical strategies that will teach you how to form good habits, break bad ones, and master the tiny behaviors that lead to remarkable results. He draws on proven ideas from biology, psychology, and neuroscience to create an easy-to-understand guide for making good habits inevitable and bad habits impossible.
