It's Halloween in Sinful. A week-long event with lots of games, treats, and a scary corn maze. Fortune is Grim Reaper, Gertie is the Mummy, and Ida Belle chases those who linger from the maze with a chain saw. Everyone is enjoying themselves until a dead body ends up beheaded.

Celia accuses Fortune of the murder. She claims to the State Police that Fortune being his girlfriend means Detective LeBlanc can't be impartial. The State Police take over the case.

Retired CIA operative Fortune Redding is ready to start the next stage of her life as a private investigator. With her new license and the help of Ida Belle and Gertie, they are set to snoop, gossip, and solve small-town crimes. She just needs her first client.

For her first case, she is hired by Detective LeBlanc to look into the death of Garrett Roth. Was it a natural death as the ME stated, or was it murder?

Many of the situations are so over-the-top but they never fail to entertain and make me laugh out loud. The characters keep evolving and I just keep enjoying the ride! ( )
