( ) I could honestly say that I didn't know what to think about this book from looking at the cover, and when I opened the book I was even more confused! Where do I start? We all read from left to right...right? So why then are all the vivid illustrations in all four corners of this now opened book visually communicates to me and calls me away from the natural reading order. I resisted and read left to right. It turns out that the book has four stories that are interconnected but could be read independently of each other except for one issue, there would be that connection that visual connection that draws you in and compels you to the other stories. I read it the right way wrong and then I read it the wrong way right. Great story or stories about a something blocking a train from passing and a platform travelers waiting on a train getting so bored of waiting they began to make hats and clothing out of newspaper and when the train finally arrives they in exasperation and excitement toss the homemade clothing into the air...and about normal parent going seemingly crazy coming home in newspaper clothing and finally cows causing problems blocking a train. Great idea, excellent book, enjoyed it immensely. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

Four brief "stories" about parents, trains, and cows, or is it really all one story? The author recommends careful inspection of words and pictures to both minimize and enhance confusion. Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |
