This book is a beautiful poem illustrated by Ezra Jack Keats. I am adding this to my personal bookfile, but not for Pierce College credit because the animals talk in this book.

A song book with nice pictures. Each page is a different mother animal with an increasing number of offspring. Fun book but animals do not talk. Do not incorporate into lesson but can be read leisurely throughout day or during music time. Ages birth through 8. PS Hide is 18 months old as of this post and absolutely loves this book, and even has a favorite page, the honeybee.

This book tells about different types of animals living in the meadow.
