A grandmother penguin tells a story from a long time ago to a group of young penguins. When they do not like the ending of her story she changes it. This book is about a penguin who went away from the crowd and had a very fun day. Everything that little penguins are taught not to do this one did. He went and slide down mountian tops and did not get lost, he danced with the gooney birds and did not get in trouble, and he even partied with the walrus and did not get in trouble. The little penguin somehow managed to stay safe during his adventure until, he fell asleep by the deep dark sea and a whale ate him! Not really when the whale was biting he jumped out and swam home. A little penguin doesn't listen to his Grand Nanny. He runs away and plays and dances with all the other animals in the polar lands. Just before be gets eaten by a big wale, he escapes and runs back home. This is a good story for primary students. I think it is good to teach students to listen to parents, teachers, and other adults.
