The author did a wonderful job at encouraging young girls to follow their dreams and do anything they put their mind too. This book would be great for young readers. ( ![]() This is a great book for primary students. It is pretty short and sweet. This book has simple words and is short enough to keep their interest. This book is about a little girl. She is at school learning about presidents and her teacher rolls about pictures of all the past presidents. She is so shocked that there has never been a female president that she says she wants to be president. Her teacher thinks that it would be a great idea for her to be the class president for the school. She thinks thats a great idea. She begins to realize that she will have to run against other candidates who want to be president for their class. This book is super cute. I really enjoyed it. This would be a great book to read when teaching about presidents. This would be a simple way to introduce something about presidents and the topic without over loading the students with history right way. This would also grab their attention and get them excited about meeting their goals and striving for big things. This might even be a fun was to have a class president in our own classroom and have students run for president and vote! This would be a great way to teach the children about politics and what this looks like in the real world for adults. A book chose to read aloud to a fifth grade class over zoom! Teaching points: female power in politics, us history and government, democracy and fair voting and equal rights, don't let the doubt of others get to you genre: fiction I loved this book! I think this book should be read to all elementary students. It should be used to show that minorities and gender biases don’t matter when it comes to your dreams and what you want to do. In this book Grace wants to be president when she learns that America has never had a female president. She goes off into holding mock elections at her school. This is a great book for exposing children to hard work, courage and the electoral voting system in America. This is one of my favorite picture books. This story is about Grace, and she does not understand why they aren't any female presidents. She decides she wants to run in her class election against the most popular boy in her class. It does a really good job of teaching young children about the Electoral Collage and democracy. It also is encouraging to young girls that they can do anything, even run for president. The plot is organized and easy to follow. The illustrations also align directly with the text. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
