Mixes emotions about this one. Almost back to the original Anita, but just not quite there yet.

I'm sure I'll read it, I just won't buy it new from Amazon, even discounted and with free shipping. 6. Skin Trade by Laurell K. Hamilton (486 p.) -- Anita receives a head in a box from Vittorio and has to go to Las Vegas to try to stop whatever he plans. She goes as a US Marshall along with Edward, Bernardo and Otto. This one has a lot less sex and a lot more plot than usual. It is good to ... ... ten.
I also got the new Laurell K. Hamilton book. That is the last one I get new in hardback. I think I am going to sell Skin Trade on Half.com. Her books don't do it for me any more.
On the side, people here will understand, I am reading Non-violent Communication by Marshall Rosenberg.

I inadvertently skipped #43, so I am going back and adding it in.
I didn't think this was up to usual standards. I know that lately the Anita Blake series has just been erotica, lacking substance in the way of character development and plot. But I am ... ... the series, that I honestly couldn't remember if he had given her the fourth mark or not, but I just finished reading Skin Trade, and the issue is raised again in this novel. I'm about to start Skin Trade by Laurell K. Hamilton.
My book groups this month are reading In the Woods by Tana French and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini. #108 - The "intimate moments" in Skin Trade are few and far between, in comparison to more recent Anita books. At this point I don't think Hamilton could go back completely (and I personally wouldn't want her to), but the bulk of the novel does actually focus on police work as opposed to ... ... src="http://pics.librarything.com/picsizes/8e/44/8e447408c1af42159354e485477434d414f4541.jpg">
