Recensioner

If readers want a fiction story about perseverance, and survival, Twisted Fate will work. If readers want a fiction story with suspense and mystery, it falls flat.

It begins with an abusive childhood, some determination and a beautiful bonding. We go through the protagonists life before it really gets interesting. It felt like a huge set up for subsequent sequels.

Sadly, Twisted Fate - aptly titled - just did not feel like it fulfilled its original description and was not my cup of tea.… (mer)

Wow! What a thrilling conclusion to a fabulous series! Not only does it have a gorgeous new cover, but there’s also updated content. The Deep End picks up right where Ripple Effect leaves off. Kylie is now CJ and despite being in the witness protection program she’s going after her dream of qualifying for the Olympic swim team. She’s hoping her continual need to testify against her friend’s killers is finally coming to an end.

CJ’s relationship with Matt Whitmore has blossomed and solidified. He’s become a professional baseball player and because of his high profile career, they’re forced to hide their relationship. They definitely have to find creative ways to be together. Danger is never far behind though and every time CJ competes she puts herself at risk. Just when they think things may finally be resolved, the suspense ratchets up again leading to an exciting, heart-stopping conclusion.

I loved the ending to this story! After two nail-biting previous books, I didn’t think things could get even more complicated or suspenseful, but they did. This rollercoaster of a book grabbed hold of me and didn’t let go until I finished the last page. I loved CJ’s & Matt’s relationship. It was fun seeing them sneak in those stolen moments while still trying to keep things under wraps. I also loved seeing more of Doug & Jill and watching their relationship progress. The action was nonstop & the thrilling conclusion was definitely a movie worthy finish. After this, it’s time to pick up the Saint Squad series.

Highly recommend this book & the entire series! It’s a faith-filled, romantic, edge of your seat read romantic suspense fans will truly enjoy. I recommend reading the previous two books before this one as it’s not really meant to be read as a standalone. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.

Another fast paced, nailbiter in the Undercurrents series! Ripple Effect begins right where Undercurrents left off and doesn’t miss a beat. Now with a gorgeous new cover and updated content, it’s a must read after reading Undercurrents and then you’ll need to pick up The Deep End!

This book begins with Shaye changing her name to Kylie and now living in a small Texas town. She’s still in the witness protection program and must testify against those involved in the dangerous smuggling ring that killed her friend. She’s still hoping to qualify for the Olympics, but has to continue keeping a low profile.

Matt Whitmore whom she fell in love with in Virginia has no idea where she is now, to keep them both safe. When he inadvertently shows up in the same Texas town, they’re both shocked. He’s there to further his baseball career and had no idea she’d be there. Now they have to pretend like they just met. As their relationship deepens, they have to decide if it’s worth all the risks.

This book was just as exciting for me as the first book. While the suspense definitely had me quickly turning the pages, this book focuses more on the growth of the characters and their relationship. The experiences Kylie’s gone through have made her more mature, more focused, and self-assured. I enjoyed having her and Matt meet again and seeing them renew their relationship. I also loved getting to know Doug & Jill.

I loved the way faith played a role in the story. As with all the books in this series, the main characters are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and there are references to faith and the practices of the church naturally woven into the story. Anyone who enjoys inspirational romantic suspense will enjoy these books and find shared beliefs.

This book left me needing to immediately pick up The Deep End to read the exciting conclusion! It’s a series you’ll definitely need to binge and luckily they’re all available to read right now. I received a complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.

Wow! Undercurrents grabbed me from the first page and didn’t let go. I loved the nail-biting suspense, sweet romance, and touch of faith woven throughout the story. This book was the launching point for many of Traci Abramson’s books. Now updated with a gorgeous new cover & content, I loved reading the story that started it all.

Christal Jones is an award winning swimmer and Olympic hopeful ready to start her Freshman year at Stanford. When she inadvertently witnesses her DEA boyfriend Chase’s murder, her future dreams are dashed. Left completely alone with both parents and Chase now dead, she’s forced to enter the witness protection program and Christal becomes Shaye Kendall. Though she’s still able to swim at her new college in Virginia, she must give up her signature breaststroke. When she meets the handsome Matt Whitmore, she’s drawn to him, but can’t afford to get close to anyone while those behind Chase’s murder are still out there.

Matt Whitmore, son of Senator James Whitmore, is a talented baseball player and artist. When he sees Shaye for the first time, he’s captivated, but getting to know her proves illusive. She seems to be hiding something. Will he ever get the truth? When danger comes calling, he tries to do everything in his power to protect her, even if it might mean never seeing her again.

I loved Matt and Shaye! Their romance brought me back to my early college days with that excitement of dating and finding love. They have an instant attraction, but with all they go through it’s easy to see how it turns to more. I enjoyed their sweet romance. It was also fun seeing now familiar characters like Jim and Katherine Whitmore.

The suspense was intense from the first page! I immediately had to pick up the second book Ripple Effect because I had to know what happens next. Luckily all three books in the series are available so it’s easy to binge them all.

In the story, Matt and Shaye are both members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While there are mentions of faith and service related to the church, they’re shared subtly in a natural way that flows seamlessly with the story. Any inspirational or Christian romantic suspense fan would enjoy this book.

It’s an edge of your seat thrill ride that had me quickly turning the pages! Highly recommend this book and the entire series. I received an advanced complimentary copy from the publisher. All opinions are my own and voluntarily provided.
