Kort biografi: Books have always been a life-changing force for Anna Adams. From the time she discovered Titania and Oberon in A Midsummer Night's Dream on her father's bookshelf, until she began to write her own stories, she loved to look at relationships that couldn't possibly run true. At age 12 Anna's grandmother introduced her to Harlequin romance novels, and Anna plunged into a world of strong women and loving men who knit their lives together no matter what obstacles stood between them.

Working on a degree in English, she kept reading about other worlds and other people while she wrote everything from advertising copy to software manuals. And always, stories of romance played in her head. These were the kinds of books she most loved to read and write. In her own stories, when the hero and heroine fall in love no one in their world is safe from catching their newfound joy in life and a fulfilling relationship. She has been publishing her romances at Superromance since 2000, now and hopes readers know they can count on her books to give them real love, set in real life. She is in the middle of one of those stories, with her own hero. From Iceland to Hawaii, and points in between, they’ve shared their lives with children and family and friends who’ve become family. Right now, Anna lives in a small southern town in Georgia with her heroic husband, two children, and a kitty.

A Heartwarming Christmas: A Boxed Set of Twelve… av Melinda Curtis

3.5 stars rounded up to 4. I enjoyed these books, all interrelated. Although I'm a fan of romance novels, several of the tropes used were too similar, making very fast happily ever afters, so many of them all at once, a bit hard to chew. My favorite would have been the very first one, Ms. Curtis's story well written and well edited. The others were also well written, but might have benefited from a sharper pen. Minor issues, and yet noticeable.

Light hearted seasonal fluff, and I really did enjoy them overall.… (mer)

Christmas, Actually av Melinda Curtis

I loved these three sweet stories by different authors. I enjoyed each one. They each gave me a calm Christmas feeling as I read them. In the second story, I could understand how personal loss affects people as this year I have experienced that myself.
Jack, Callie and Nick were engaging characters and the stories are all in the same town and were sweet Christmas romances.

Christmas, Actually av Anna Adams

I love this book! It was a wonderful look at life in Christmas Town Maine. I love how the book consists of three stories by three different authors and all center on one member of the same family. It was truly a delight to read these stories.
The Christmas Gift tells Jack and Sophie's story. Jack is a talented, dedicated surgeon. Sophie is the nurse he was with before returning home to Christmas Town. They were together for two years and have a baby on the way...one Jack was not even considering having. I have to say for a smart woman Sophie was pretty dumb in my opinion. I would think with two years gone by you would have discussed whether or not you want to have children together.
The Christmas Wish tells the story of Callie, Dean and Eliza. It is my favorite from the book. Callie is Jack's sister and a school teacher. She meets Dean, a single father, through a student, Eliza. Eliza hates Christmas and Dean doesn't do a lot to encourage his daughter to love it. Callie is all caught up in Christmas. It is a delightful story that has some hurt, happiness and mischief in it. I love, love, love it!
The Christmas date tells the story of Nick, Gina and online dating. This is a wonderful story. Nick is a handyman who is in love with Gina. Gina has a scar and insecurities that make her feel that it is difficult to find a man to look beyond her face. She decides to try online dating. Will she fall for a man she has never met or will she see that love has been waiting for her?
This book is a wonderful look at a magical time of the year in a town that is all about Christmas. It is absolutely clean reading with no sex scenes or harsh language. Get caught up in the magic that Christmas brings with Christmas, Actually.… (mer)

Heartwarming Holiday Wishes av Anna Adams

I love Christmas! It is the most magical time of year for me. I look forward to the decorations, movies, music and books. The Heartwarming Holiday Wishes series is one of the most anticipated collections for me. I am never disappointed with a trip to Christmas Town. It is magical how these authors take a central theme set in the same town and make each story unique yet connected. This year the theme is a Christmas Stocking. Every story was a delight to read. I can't even pick a favorite because they were all so wonderful. I recommend reading these anytime you want to feel the spirit of Christmas.
These are all clean stories. I would share them with teens as well as adults who prefer stories that don't have graphic content.… (mer)
