Another solid book from the authors, though for the people who have the right books in their collection this might come off as a rehash. It's just that there is comparatively little on Japanese carriers that one tends to snap up whatever is available.

So long as you remember that you're mostly buying this work for the pictures, you'll be quite satisfied. It doesn't hurt that the authors are recognized experts and, thus, the narrative and analytic portions seem quite sound. This is looking like a series worth collecting.

Concise but very detailed look at the Japanese "Medium" sized aircraft carrier. Covers all aspects of the design, building, systems of these ships. Brief operational histories are also included but this is more of a look at the ships themselves and how they were put together. Excellent.
