I was very excited to find this book. It is just as cute as the original. A dreamy, poetic text and rich, detailed paintings combine to create a book that evokes the sights, sounds, and smells of camping. There are plenty of things on this camping trip for readers to examine-animals hide in the trunks of trees or in the lake.

The thrill of getting close to nature comes across clearly in this book, which is as beautifully illustrated as it is informative. A good introduction for children who have never been camping and a nice remembrance for those who have.

All About Boats: A to Z shows the youngest crew members the purpose of the many things they see while boating. Each letter appears on a separate page. The featured word is explained by a verse and an illustration, showing how it fits for boating.

This is a delightful book for any child interested in boats and wants to know everything they can about being on a boat. Using each letter and a cute verse to describe different things. Example for the letter H h; A horn is most handy when you need to call a boat or bridgetender. Its honk reaches all.

The illustrations are very colorful and detailed to tell the story. My Grandson just loved it when I read it to him at bedtime. And not only did he learn about boats, I did too! Transom's the place where the boat's name should be. The back of the boat is easy to see. And another one was "Sou' wester"- a good hat to wear on rain days. Its big yellow brim sends rain drops away.

This would make a great birthday gift or Christmas present for a young child. You too might learns some new things about boats as I did.
