Since we publish it, we're naturally biased. We purchased this work because V does an excellent job of redefining the classic noir hero. We all see The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep on cable year after year. V took the elements that made these books/ movies great and made a new, modernized hero--a female Marlowe who redefines the niche. 50 pages in, we made the author an offer that couldn't be refused.
