Kort biografi
Susan Andersen was born in 1950 and raised in Seattle, Washington surrounded by men; her father, her two older brothers and her grandfather. She trained as a dental assistant, although she did not like working for dentists. Susan married to her high school sweetie, and they had a son.

After she turned 30, she felt that she might have the "life experience" to string an entire book together. Her first novels were published in 1993. She has been nominated three times for Romantic Times Magazine's Reviewer's Choice Awards, winning in 1998 for Baby, I'm Yours. She has also been named a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award winner. She has appeared three times on the list of 10 novels picked as Editor's Choice in 2001, 2002 and 2003.

I typically don't rate books I DNF'ed (I dropped this around 70% but I had read enough by then), but I felt I had to drop a quick review for this.
I just want to say that it's 2021 and rape in all forms - marital or otherwise is truly not the way stories should be driven forward any more. The ML was so unappealing because of this as he apparently raped his wife for 4 years! Like wtf actually. And also did the Hattie have to get raped to get the plot moving?
And also using such an absolutely gorgeous cover seems like a crime.… (mer)

Lily & Zach meeting each other gets off on the wrong foot. He thinks she's out to fleece his rich sister and she thinks he's an ass. An active Marine who's used to giving orders, Zach is at a loss as he discovers more about Lily than what he initially assumed. Lily starts falling for him on a road trip to stop his sister's wedding. Romance, intrigue, and mystery ensue. Solid book with good plot that has characters from the other books in the series that I haven't read yet.

Fast read mystery romance that follows the same boring theme. Juliet is rich, prim, & proper. Beau is blue collar police sergeant assigned to protect her at her rich daddy's request to the department. Typical repressed woman versus virile studly cop. A little mystery with attempts being made on Juliet or Beau's life. Of course they end up in bed, fight, & make up. The New Orleans language written in the book was irritating & hokey compared to other books I've read with the Cajun dialect.… (mer)
