Jeff Bennington

I grabbed Reader Giveaways by Jeff Bennington back in 2015. I don’t know if that was before or after I started following his website, The Kindle Book Review. The book is basically an introduction to his website and how he runs the giveaways, which I participate in faithfully. It is a great example of self promotion while also offering the reader a chance to win some wonderful giveaways. Would I buy it? Probably not. But seeing it is free, I say, if you aren’t already following Jeff Bennington’s websites, give it a shot.

I enjoyed the stories that I thought were the author's experience. The other ones not so much. I felt like I didn't know enough to like or dislike them after I finished them. More development might make them stronger. One story has a vicious dog attack on another dog. I'm torn on that scene. I have a dog. Most of my life I have had dogs and a few cats. I had a small dog who went through a similar attack. It turned out better than the story but was horrific. So I know first-hand that attacks like that happen. It is hard to read though. Being a dog lover, I want to say it didn't have a place in the story. However, being a realistic person, attacks do happen. We can't avoid horrific things just because we wish they didn't happen. Sadly they do happen. I think the author may have been telling us that all were open to being affected by the rumblin'. Dogs sense things before most humans so having things start with the dogs was, I think, showing that. Anyway, if you love animals be advised there is a bad scene in one of the stories, The Rumblin'.… (mer)
