Jail Keys Made Here And Other Signs av Patrick Dennis, Lee Boltin
Boltin (1917-1991) was best known for his work documenting primitive, pre-Columbian and ancient art. But in this collection (and in a similar one, "Closed on Account of Death. Not Sam", published in 1977) he focuses on building, street and window signs, some with amusing juxtapositions of meaning, other downright bizarre.
Publsihed to coincide with exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum New York
